Good ol' Tate. Anyway, if you're wondering what happened to Eguchi AMV, I removed it because of the last scene, which was confirmed by Masaki Satou himself to be Miyahara's key animation. I apologize again, but as a plea, the aggressive timing of that scene reminded of Eguchi's usual output, but I was wrong. So I'll need to remake it in the future, and maybe I'm going to ask him which scene he animated in the RoF film. Sorry.

MrMikay I’m saying that he’s underrated in the context of how people will not mention him in comparison to others like Takahashi and Shida. Yes he has more attention being brought to his name thanks to people like Ajay and Db animators bringing his name into light, but he’s not always mentioned as much as the others. And do not forget for a time he was hated and some still do hate him for episode 5 and his different approach to art.

A ver no confundan animacion con dibujo, porque no es lo mismo y tate al haber estado trabajando en one piece desarrolo ese estilo que queda sumamenye bien con ese enime pero no en dbs, deforma demadiado y la falta de detalles hace que muchos no aprecien como se debe su trabajo. Tate grows on me every time i watch his scenes, a year ago i hated him and his art, now he is my favorite on Super after maybe Takahashi Yes, Tate is better than Shida in my opinion, just because he can deliver good work faster, overall i think Shida is better if it comes to delivering a good scene apart from schedule pressure

No comparar a Tate con otros animadores con trabajos mas pulidos, Tate es animador regular en el sentido que trabaja bajo presiòn y con horarios, el puede hacer un excelente trabajo si le dan tiempo (mirar la escena de Freezer vs Jiren) no puedes compararlo con Shida que es un animador clave muy bueno pero lentisimo.

Tate no es un animador regular, es uno importante en el medio, mencionar tate en el medio es como decir Nakamura, Abe o Shida, Tal cada uno tiene su estilo pero el se da el lujo de hacer muy buenas expresiones corporales mientras pelea y tambien mucho movimiento con sentido de este. No podemos comparar igualmente trabajos de otros animadores porque uno cree que es mejor.

Hace mucho tiempo en Dragon ball GT y dragón ball Z su arte era hermoso(dibujo) y su animación pues... Eh.... Pero.. ahora ha mejorado mucho en su estilo de animación, es mil veces mejor en animación que en Z y GT, lástima que su dibujo se vio influenciado por One Piece, sino sería como Yuya Takahashi.

Ese estilo, actual ya se veía desde el final de DBZ y en GT se nota bastante, pero todos le echan la culpa a one piece... otra cosa es que los diseños en los cuales se debían basar los animadores antes, eran mil veces mejor que lo de yamamuro actual. Hasta el peor dibujante de dbz con esas diseños se veían decentes los dibujos. Por que eran proporcionales y con buen detalle, y tuya takahashi te lo demuestra pasándose por el culo los diseños de yamamuro y utilizando los de shida de la película de hildegan de DBZ. si tuvieran mejores diseños base tanto tate como los otros animadores arían dibujasos o dibujo muy decentes.

Su estilo de dibujo no cambio mucho, solo parece haber cambiado por las correciones de los supervisores. Solo en ciertas ecenas se puede ver su arte. En pocas palabras era su animacion, pero no era su arte.

@@oneish7454 igual... yo espero a la película para dar el veredicto final a naoki tate, si para cuando salga la película los dibujos de tate en primero planos y esas cosas entonces, si es así su dibujo como lo que vimos en super. Por el echo de que casi ninguno de los animadores pudieron demostrar todo lo que podían hacer, por los temas de tener poco tiempo, o sea ver su trabajo en super y compararlo con la película dibujos y esas cosas, aunque en Internet o al menos en miniaturas ronda un framer echo por tate, ese donde broly y goku se miran de frente, que lo an usado muchísimo para miniaturas, pero en la escena no se nota ese dibujo por la velocidad de la escena.

Son Rayzer More polished, yes, Z's production conditions were nowhere near as hellish as Super's and he was just a key animator back then, there wasn't the pressure of having to deal with various other animators' scenes besides his own, but, overall, his scenes in Super look a lot more technically developed

Even if his not doing bunches of complicated animation, he silly expressions and fantastically readable poses beautifully convey the emotion of the characters, and also does a great job of making it feel more animated and dynamic than it actually really is.

Sr. Trunks He was an animation supervisor for ep 5, he had to provide a large amount of corrections and uncredited key animation under a very resticted schedule, but despite that his scenes were actually well animated

Personally while he can really animate movement well and i am immensely glad that we got the Ultra Instinct Debut to really show what he is capable of i my opinion some of his earlier work was not my favourite. The amazing movements were offset by poor art and low detail along with odd looking body moves. I am a Takahashi guy myself.

In 110 he had some really good scenes, particularly the first kick and punch of ultra instinct. I also liked him walking away from the justice flash. But when it comes to almost every other episode including 130, his artwork is just pure garbage, call it "simple" but it feels so sloppy. The way limbs move, the way his faces look, its just so unnatural and flat. I will give him this, his work is very smooth and if he had more time plus corrections it would be beautiful, if he could just draw correctly he would be one of the best.

His artwork in 130 was fantastic, there was nothing "sloppy" about it. I would argue, that although Tate uses flat shading, his art is still extremely defined, or at least, more defined than the work of the usual animators, due to application of lines to define shape. TBH, I think corrections usually take away from his work, as they tend to remove a lot of the natural gestural charm found in his more base drawings.

The super overrated animator. I remember when I started commenting in Kanzenshu, around the days of universe 6 v 7 where after the disaster EP5 was and he was showing his art traits, I started to question him, the artstyle, the meh animation at times, etc. In the thread it was received with strawman claims of "you're an ignorant" by ajay san himself. True, in terms of animation knowledge I was very limited, but those initial criticisms never pretended to come as the 101 guide to animation, I made clear I was talking with the perspective of a simple viewer that just commented on what I see on video (so 99% of the people basically) and not an experienced animator style catcher, that's the thing, you should judge for what you see, not for what you think it's happening in the background, anyways, there was this silly argument of having no means to judge something I don't have experience on, ignoring the fact that everything is judged by not knowlegable people: music, movies, videogames, one has the right to say if it's good or bad even if we're not software developers, actors or singers. Anyways, I ate up that on the fear of being banned by him being a forum moderator and took the path of learning everything about the process of animation, identifying art styles, considering time constraints and budgets to a point where it was very easy for me to tell who animated or drew this or that scene, all that knowledge was supposedly gonna make me appreciate tate's work and at the end what it did was to reaffirm my original position. Because yeah, he can have good animation pieces that I can enjoy, but the art, the fucking art always threw me off, it ruined my experience, and the animation wasn't that much of a deal to make such a big sacrifice in art, it was... Above average. After watching Karasawa, Higashide, Onishi, Shida, Takahashi among others I don't remember (been a long time), my thinking was that tate was never able to reach that level of art and animation quality. And this is the thing, I would've expected mediocre results from the likes of Kitano and Yashima, but from tate, that almost everyone in Kanzenshu. overhyped as the master, the goat, the god? nah, sorry, but no. A recurrent argument was the time constraints, that the messed up schedule of super was not letting him to show his full potential, well... the movie came out, and his work just looked like a regular DBS episode. Roughly 2 minutes in movie, with probably all the time in the world, just to show absolutely the same quality in art and basically the same animation, nothing stood out from him. I'm sorry, but this animator is overrated to the moon, his bubbly, ultra rounded, huge chins, rounded noses, elastic hands art and animation style only worked for the buu vs the red dog in the fights pre tournament of power, just because buu is literally bubble gum, then other not so remarkable bits that I don't mention because they were so average I don't really remember them. I would've liked an exchange, an animator from one piece that worked on Z then send him over there, I'm pretty sure he would do a good job with Luffy, but in Dragon Ball it didn't pan out for him.

I never saw any step up in anything, I didn't see crazy coreography movements, camera angles, better and more polished art, which practically every tate fan on kanzenshu was claiming it was gonna happen if the guy wasn't limited by timing constraints. Unlike tate, I saw many other animators showing their A game compared to the anime, like Onishi, Shida, Takahashi, they stepped up, they showed something worthy a movie with it's increased budget and time. So yeah, argument debunked.
