It's actually super common for football players to open small businesses as investments :) restaurants, pubs, even night clubs. Here in Italy sooo many famous Italian footballers have opened restaurants or invested in them! :) When I saw Sam doing that I thought "wow, that's so realistic!" it's so funny that you had the opposite reaction and thought it was too random 😂

Yep, each team plays each other twice because they play once at home (at their own ground) and once away (at the opposing team's ground) to even out any "home ground" advantage. (that's 38 games BTW - (20 teams x 2 games each - 2) - because obviously you can't play yourself :)

The symbolic significance of Sam creating a restaurant is that he's laying down roots. The sign that a man has become very comfortable with his extended family is that he creates something lasting in the place where that family dwells. Sam is starting to see Richmond as his home, and his teammates and others associated with the Greyhounds as his family. He's putting down the foundations of a home. .

The restaurant wasn't random. He talks about there not being authentic Nigerian food with Edwin. Since the restaurant they ate at didn't actually exist, he decided to start one.

It's just a fun little thing with Sharon, but a lot of people were actually mad she wasn't a lesbian when this came out? Which... her favorite book is Prince of Tides, a very straight romance, so I don't know where that idea came from.
