The chances of Blackbeard being taken down by Shanks, Kuzan or Coby and sword memebers is higher than the chances of Luffy not being directly involved in taking down Akainu. Akainu is not just the fleet admiral and the head of the navy which is the biggest enemy for pirates in the world, he isn't just the one who killed Luffy's brother infront of Luffy's eyes, not just the one who gave Luffy his biggest scar, not just the one who traumatized Luffy the most and made him questioning his dream, but he is also the one who probably hates pirates the most (we will get to know why) and Luffy is going to be the symbol of all pirates in the world especially with Nika fruit which is also The devil fruit of Joyboy who happens to be the first known pirate in history. Luffy and Akainu's fight is inevitable. All that being said he isn’t even the main villain in the government faction, so I don’t think it’s 100% necessary for luffy to fight him if he’s already fighting imu. Also if sabo fights him it still makes sense. In a perfect world though I want luffy to fight all 3 in separate arks but I don’t see that happening. Of all the villains mentioned in this video akainu is probably the one I care about the least. I’d honestly rather oda address Kong than luffy fight akainu, Kong was mentioned once as the head of the navy than never brought up again. It’s like he was forgotten completely.

I think it's Imu for now, until we get more information on Kurohige (his lineage and past), Imu is a greater antagonist since he's directly oppressing the world and the direct person responsible for almost everything that's gone wrong with Luffy and the strawhats. Without Imu's reign, there's no Ohara, or no big hate between fishmans and humans leading to Arlong and Nami, or Franky's backstory because there's no pirate king Roger and therefore no Oro Jackson, without Imu the world would not see Roger and by extension Ace as a menace which makes Marineford and Luffy losing Ace that way almost impossible, no revolutionaries, etc. Kurohige can still be the end villain given the parallels with Luffy but I need to know more about what makes him special. No other pirate can be the final oponent. Evil Shanks theory is stupid, doesn’t make any narrative sense, and there's no other pirate who can challenge Luffy for the One Piece. Not now but specially not later in the story. Akainu (or any other marine or World Government character tbh) doesn’t make sense because he works for Imu. To get to Imu, first you need to get over the Marines and any World Gov. forces. Whether Luffy attacks Marygoise or the marines fight at laughtell. I think its only depend by a single factor, if the One Piece its reveal after or before the fall of the World Government. If WG stop existing before Laugh Tale, then thematically speaking Blackbeard is going to be the most likely final villain as he its suppost to be Luffy's final obstacle to become Pirate King. If the Laugh Tale its find before and WG its still existing, then Imu its going to be the final villain instead as then everything after Laugh Tale will be about bring the dawn of the world. In none of this cases Akainu seen likely to end up as final villain, but he will definitely be the main antagonist of an arc (and the entire final saga in general) before the grand finale.

Definitely. the second to last arc will be luffy and allies vs the government, luffy beats the shit out of akainu making him question his ideals, and in this state he loses to koby and Sabo together. luffy beats Imu and blackbeard shows up at the end of the arc, revealing he had a fight with shanks on the way over and killed shanks. then the final arc will be blackbeard as the king of the world, fighting luffy for the one piece.

In my personal opiniom Akainu shouldn'd be on this list. As yes his form of justice is in the most direct opposition to Luffy and he is the leader of the Marines, but Blackbeard did play him like a fittle just like everyone else at Marineford. But Akainu is going to be one of his final opponets. Like it wouldn't makes sense if Luffy didn't at least suff with him a bit. But Black Beard and Imu. People don't give Akainu the props he deverse mainly cause in the final saga he is over shadowed by the old and the new. But I would only call him the true final villian if BB wasn't just a master manipulator of everyone, and Imu being literal God of everything. Hypotheitcal: If Imu wasn't introduced, but you still had the 5 elders and almost eveything else in the story was still the same. I would say that Akainu would be the final boss, even with BB, but the complexities that will come from Imu just throwing that line of though, for mw at least, out of line.

Blackbeard is set up to be the next antagonist. When he steals Pluton (possibly at the end of Elbaf) the strawhats will have to engage him. I dont really know where BB and Shanks will be but we know Shanks and Buggy have to meet at Laughtale together because of the deal they made as a kid. This gives Luffy and Zoro a chance to best Shanks and Mihawk at the same time. Plus Shanks could also be Luffy's Final Fight because he would be the Alpha/Omega of the story. It would be poetic if Shanks kick started Luffy's journey and ended his journey and the promise and even Luffy told Law he wanted to fight Shanks last.

I think akainu doesn’t really need to be a main fight. Oda was initially just gonna have white beard kill akainu but his editor told him to keep him in the story. So I don’t think oda cares about akainu that much. It’s very heavily implied that imu and Blackbeard are main villains, I can’t see the story ending without luffy fighting Blackbeard.

My personal guess which is a long shot, is that luffy and blackbeard will end up teaming up to defeat imu, I see it as if you flip your perspective to blackbeards, Imu has to be Blackbeards "final enemy" as well, representing his ultimate goal of ruling the world as well. Blackbeard and Luffy have always been two sides of the same coin, getting stronger and acquiring more ground throughout the story. I think that them both arriving at the exact same point at the top of the red line to fight imu is thematically rich in a very one piece way. Imu is world government control, Blackbeard is pirate control, and Luffy is freedom. The two ways I could see it going is either its the craziest battle royale of the three of them duking it out, or Luffy and Blackbeard defeat the government mutually at the same time, then duking it out for whose ideology of what a pirate should be. freedom vs control followed by positive freedom vs negative freedom. That or a goated fever dream is imu, dragon, luffy, blackbeard, and akainu end up in the greatest fight in manga history

Besides look at how Oda has been portraying them: blackbeard has been portrayed as being very successful, he did everything that he said he would and he clearly has far more ambitious plans than imu does, especially plans thar involve Devon and Laffitte (watch out for laffitte). While at the same time we've seen imu and the 5 elders panicking at their own incompetence multiple times. They failed to kill Sabo in the Reverie, in fact a sick man in a wheelchair was enough to stop them; they failed to kill Sabo again in Lulusia; and then they not only failed to capture luffy at Egghead but they also failed to stop Vegapunk's broadcast and imu even felt joyboy's haki again. And imu was so angry about that that decided to execute Saturn with him screaming "Imu" in front of everyone. Imu and the 5 elders have been portrayed to be incompetents.

Unless Blackbeard knows who Imu is, which it is to be assumed that he doesn't, Imu is the final villain. Akainu works under Imu, and despite what he's done to Luffy, doesn't contribute as much narratively as the other two do. Akainu might have been the smoking gun that killed Ace, but Blackbeard was the one who fired it. That, and Imu's connection to the Void Century and THE BIGGEST DRIVING FORCE IN ONE PIECE Without Imu and their World Government, there is no One Piece to begin with. No need for Poneglyphs, most One Piece arcs are gone entirely, no bounties, no Enies Lobby, Impel Down, Marineford, hell I don't think even Captain Morgan would've been an issue back in Shells Town or Roger feeling adventurous enough to ask Rayleigh to get on that ship with him (Egghead spoilers) Also, we know now that the sea level rose 200 METERS since the Void Century, which thanks to the island that no longer exists, we can blame on Imu for all of this devastation.

Random thought; As you said it wouldn't make since for Blackbeard to defeat Imu, but what if he didn't? What if the Revolutionary Army are the one's to bring down the world government! Dragon and Sabo nearly manage to achieve everything they wished for but at the last second before they can stabilize the chaos they brought onto the world, Blackbeard does what he always does. The man swoops in after the real dangers have been neutralized and take the prize while leaving everyone else to deal with the aftermath. Blackbeard is no doubt Luffy's final obstacle before he becomes pirate king. But now that we know that Luffy has something else he wants even more than that, I think it stands to reason that Imu will be the one he has to topple to achieve that, being so ingrained in the lore and with the additional focus of how the WG has been behind everything. Akainu is obviously a huge threat and needs to have his ass handed to him, but he's not final boss material, just a loose end that needs to be tied up, preferably with a hole in his chest.

I feel like BB will kill Imu. Devon purposely touched Saturn for a reason…Laffitte was already able to infiltrate Mary Geoise. BB basically knew that the yami yami no mi was key to everything (since it disables other powers) and thus could potentially negate Imu’s as well. Blackbeard will take Imus Legendary Zoan Fruit to mirror Luffys, but he will wait until the Revs or Luffys fleet go after Marijois or Marineford2. There is 100% a bad D clan member like Vegapunk was saying during the Transmission, but it did cut out... Sabo awakens and turns his flames blue like his costume design, blue flames burn hotter than magma.

Blackbeard is the primary candidate in my mind. Just like with Sasuke, we’ve seen Blackbeard become more powerful throughout the story. In a similar manner, two D. members, ”The enemies of the Gods,” might cause the downfall of the original God. Two pirates fighting for the title of King would complete his Chapter 1 statement. Luffy is the symbol of freedom, but he didn’t choose that role. He consistently has expressed that he is NOT a hero. As such, it wouldn’t make sense for his final role to “Hero” over “Pirate King.”

I doubt Akinu will be Luffy's last opponent, its definitely either Blackbeard or Imu for the true final villain, Blackbeard might overtake Imu if they do something truly insane I don't know how to do it but if Blackbeard were to take down Imu somehow and potentially get his hands on his devil fruit alongside his other two awakened devil fruits , he'd be the strongest character to ever exist in One piece.

My perfect scenario for a Luffy v Akainu battle, is that Luffy chooses to go and fight him alone. Then Luffy gets his ass kicked, is about to die… and his friends come out to save him and defeat Akainu. Not only is this perfect completed arc, it shows that Luffy needs his friends for every situation. Unlike last time where he fought alone and it almost killed him. Some people may not like this “Well Luffy is technically stronger than Akainu blah blah blah” Thats just fucking lame, just a simple 1v1 and Luffy wins? Wheres the meaning? wheres the intention? Where is the struggle? A rematch between two characters shouldnt just be the same as the first except with an opposite result, in order for the hero to win a rematch, he needs to learn from his past mistakes.

Just a word of advice here, but I think you should remove the final opponent chapter in the video, since some people just might skip to that chapter instead of watching the whole video, which might hurt your chances a little if you want to make it in the algorithm. The bias against Sakazuki is always crazy... You gave yourself only one minute to discuss about Sakazuki vs Luffy without giving any detail, whereas you gave Teach and Imu 3 to 4 minutes in order to explain why they will fight Luffy as the final antagonist. Sakazuki literally broke Luffy's will. He is the only character ever to scar Luffy either physically or mentally, and he also did both of these at the same time! Luffy literally said: "Me, become King of the Pirates?! I'm so weak!!" These are core elements that must be mentionned. It's also crazy that you go for about 5 minutes through nearly every possible opponents that could fight Sakazuki even if they only have 1% of chance of just clashing with him, whereas other possible fights aren't even talking points for Teach and Imu's cases. This is by definition double standards. Now, I do agree that Imu will be the final antagonist and not Sakazuki, but you should explain why instead of failing to disprove why he might fight somebody other than Luffy --- a more than certain fight.

I would honestly prefer it to be akainu if im being honest imu is just honestly boring we know nothing and he seems to be just your typical evil who actually achieved his goal of being king of the world. My theory is that imu orders the marines to keep track of the op op no mi so that he can have the 5 elders(gorosei) act as the leaders of the world government while he can still control things from the shadows and stay hidden. I think he has been force feeding slaves and making them perform the surgery on the strongest of celestial dragons that are willing to obey him.
