I think my favorite part of this is the brotherly banter. They all only had solo stories and now we get to see two of them bicker, taunt, interact, and converse like siblings. This looks absolutely nothing like Darksiders this just looks like a terribly cheap indie game to be honest this is way disappointing and nowhere near Darksiders 3 let alone the original Darksiders which in my opinion was the best one in the series. I'll probably still play this as I'm interested in the lore but this looks terrible. Like a cheap spin-off like those crappy Lara Croft and Guardian Light spin-offs from Tomb Raider. Honestly this'll likely be free soon as it likely won't sell well.

@@marky3609 the graphics aloje are better than all the previous games, so you are landing your feeling at the wrong place, the variety on attacks, envoronments, the pieces of art we've seen, it looks amazing for something that is not even a full pricd game, and this is just a spin off, gunfire games was bought by THQ (if I remember correctly, afyer darksiders 3 and around when remnant was released) so they will probably go on a quite higher budget when comparing to DS3. My main point here is that the essence of the first 2 games are way more present here than in the third game, darksiders 3 was too different in areas it didn't need to be, and I'm not refering to the combat as I like it being different each game, but the overall feel and art direction of everything

Can’t wait for this. I just hope it does well enough for dlc or a sequel. Strife needs his own DS4 game and death and fury could have something like this. War has appeared in every game now and the book. The others need time to shine. The 4 player co op potential is there and if this is the style we get it in then I’d be ok with it.

Know what's great about this spin-off compared to 3? You're a horseman of the apocalypse and can once again fight more than 1 enemy at once without getting your teeth kicked in. Also... EXECUTIONS!!!

Also 2 other things I noticed 1 strife seems to have a little bit of doubt toward the council 2 I want to know what death and fury are doing while war and strife are dealing with Lucifer and his demon lords

i agree - even for an ARPG with shooting mechanics i'd still say the camera looks about 15 feet out too far in general. Can't appreciate anything but the scenery at that height.

For a Prequel i would rather have a game were you could play as the 4 Horseman and each of them having a unique ability so backtracking would have a meaning and only each horseman could reach certain area. While also exploring the beggining when they killed all their Kin and became the 4 Horseman we know it, since they could fight a entire race it would be kind dope.

But you have to think from the developer's perspective. Airship is not even close to the same size as Vigil back during DS2. Its easier to craft a 2 co-op than a 4 player one especially for a small team.

This looks fun, snappy and fresh. The only thing I didn't like is how obstructive structures simply turn on your silhouette, instead of becoming transparent. Can anyone recommend other isometric games like this? I've always preferred turn-based action, when it comes to isometry, and 'click on enemy to make it die' Diabloids don't excite me. This looks like a perfect balance between the two.

It doesn't feel like diablo to me. More like a top down darksiders 1 really. It's the same game from a different perspective. I do hate how the terrain can obstruct the view. Sure your character can be seen through walls but can't active enemies get the same treatment? Just being able to see my character doesn't mean much when i can't see the enemies.

Alright, I can definitely see War and Strife as Donatello and Michelangelo respectively. War may not do machines, but he does tactics in this and the first Darksiders. And Strife? Pretty obvious. Not quite the most polished Darksiders game, but still one I had a lot of fun with. I was extremely excited to see Havoc and his own one-winged angel form, but hot damn was it deadly. I feel like this game kinda favors him, but just wait till he gets his own game.

thaneros yes they didn’t actually appear in the second one but the cast changes from DS1 to DS3. As far as I can tell the Charred council members voices depend on the cast of the game. so most likely the actors for the Council in this game voice other characters in Genesis.

Yeah, I tend to agree. However, I'd also be willing to bet that it will be incredibly easy to get used to. Give it a half hour of gameplay or so and we won't even notice the fixed overhead camera anymore.

They stayed true to the artwork and styling of the enemies. The game looks like an actual dark spiders game. Even riding the horse in the beginning works well. I can’t wait to play.
