100 hours of fun so far for free. It’s far from perfect but the foundation is there and so far the Devs seem to want to build something long term.

I played this game for at least 40 hours long, however there are downsides in this game especially the ones you mentioned. The only thing I can tell you about the first descendants that this game is too repetitive and annoying at the same time, because the amount of grinding you spend time and enemy AI gets repetitive not in a good way and it's gonna wear you off. Now for the level boss characters they are too overpowered such as pyromanac and I wish they rework this game to fix the problems

Well like I said in the video, if they restrict the characters kit like they do in Overwatch or other games in pvp then it’s more balanced. (As in your can’t bring in your OP equipment to pvp)
