the first episode of Solo Leveling was a disappointment...

ive never read the manhwa, but as an anime only I didn't understand how a significant amount of the episode contributed to the narrative at all. It's the first episode. The introduction. I disliked that it felt like the story wasn't even progressing for the first part of the episode. im sure itll be a great anime but this first episode just really irks me. you could delete the first 5 minutes entirely and the story wouldn't change AT ALL.

Disappointment for manhwa fans. Everyone knew the art carried its popularity to start with. Current animation art quality is really not matching it.

okay bro........so lets give your argument a summary.....you are mad because they didnt follow the manwha word by word right.......now here is what i am going to say to that argument ............why the hell would they make it ditto to the manwha ,if you have read the story, they why would you see the episodes if you already know the story...i mean one can argue for the fight scenes but i am pretty sure that no one would have watched the full episode if they went your way........if that was really you arguement then the one piece live action sjould have flopped right cause the live action wasnt word by word .....well it didnt so ,give the anime some time and blet it ;get further into the story, .....

instead of dubbing it in japanese they shouldve gone with korean.. i was so bamboozled with sung jin woo being called as sung chan XD. it didnt feel right. i dont know why but it didnt XD

Keep in mind they are adapting the light novel with the art style of the manwha.

Read the light novel first or gather some information before you are complaining lol, the first scene was the jeju island failed raid from 3 years prior before the present day, if you genuinely fans you will realize that there was Eunsok who already died in present day and byung-gu goes retired after that. This eps 1 was great for A1 pic to introduce some of characters that later may will not appears too suddenly. The manhwa skip too many parts from LN and only focusing solely on jinwoo, but they make a great decision to follow LN road story. and you must remember that there’s still many who didn’t know solo leveling yet and may be confused if a1 didn’t summarize this kind of introduction and world building for those who are unfamiliar yet with SL to understand fully about what is it about. Sorry for my bad english 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

They tried so hard to make anime fan only hook to it by showing the fight or power foreshadowing in ep1 😅 like what, you better show us more about world building

bro all youre talking about in this video is how much you did not like the anime-original stuff. I get that you dont like 'filler' stuff, but looking at eminence in shadow for example: It can be really good if the anime adds in stuff that isnt in the original, or changes some things for convenience. The 'fillers' in this episode are mainly the S-Ranks getting some screentime before (way) later in. And thats fine to me, and its fine if you didnt like it. But does it really bother you that much to make a 9 minute video [without spoiler warning, btw] in which you ramble about how these fillers were not needed? :D To me, episode 1 did what it had to do. It set the world up, gave most relevant characters some spotlight and ended on a decent cliffhanger, which is good enough for people who dont know Solo Leveling to continue watching, and good enough for the others since they know whats about to go down the next episode(s). However, The 7/10 is very reasonable, but them seemingly showing that they're not afraid of censoring in that one scene with the statue, is really nice to me so I'd personally rate it a bit higher.

I love the manhwa n the anime isnt bad. My only gripe bout it is the lack of grand music during some moments. I mean, music along the scene that will stick to my head. In any case, i still like and will stay tune.

I can get behind the exposure and world building. But yeah somehow it would overwhelm non-initiated I think and what gets you hooked ain't how Hunters get assessment. I would say they should dropped more than the first episode at once so you get at least the dungeon and what happens to the main character.

Yea there was no point in showing the other S rank hunters right now. Also, I doubt they make it to the ant arc in the first season. There's so many dungeons before then.

I Made an amazing Review about it to but yes indeed it's very dissapointing and i explain why in My video Idk what they are gonna do by cutting the leader character from the first pannels also i belive it was a Team of 16 people not 12 But thats just small details ... I assume
