Well done Suaad Al Shamsi … you are a fine example to all the young women aspiring to a STEM career and I can definitely relate to your youthful enthusiasm for all things flying! I had the pleasure of seeing increasing numbers of women join the ranks of aviation engineers during my 37 years with a world famous aero engine manufacturer. PS: It was fun to see that old Rolls-Royce Conway jet engine in the video … it powered the Vickers VC10 aircraft operated by Gulf Air in the 1970’s. PS: My forest green metallic 1999 Boxster will celebrate her 25th birthday in July 2024!

There are few women airline pilots because airline pilots are away from home 3-4 days/week. That’s not conducive to having and raising children. Women don’t like to work as many hours as men. That’s not conducive to being a junior (low seniority) airline pilot. Women are making choices that are right for their needs. There’s not a “problem” to solve here.

To be fair, Porsche is getting a bit woke and the marketing department is losing focus on what drives the passion for the brand...the cars.
