I was dragged to night clubs in three different cities in my 20s, and never enjoyed a single one. Sticky floors, zero conversation, undignified desperation in the way people were trying to show off for each other, the line outside, the pretence at being important enough for people to wait to get in, pay to get in, get approved or rejected by the door guy... just the whole thing always rubbed me the wrong way. I like pubs and coffee shops and chill bars. Places where you can get some food as well as a drink, where you can hear people talk, and where there's something to do, like darts or pool or a pub quiz or karaoke or something.

for introverts it's both the worst and the best : if you're not gonna dance in public (which you won't obviously) it's incredibly boring, but on the other hand nobody's gonna try to interact with you if you stay in a corner since it's so badly lit you'll be invisible

I don't think it's a problem for an introvert as there's barely any social interaction involved. You just get your drink and hang out crowd-watching; maybe have a little dance by yourself after the alcohol kicks in, no one will care.

I’ve never been to a club. A friend of mine who did told me "Man, I should take you to one of these" and this video only furthers comfort me in the idea of… probably not. I mean I basically knew most of these things already but Ryan does get the point across for anyone who had doubts though… also there’s been stories of people pricking random people with syringes, even empty ones just because they can so… that’s another reason.

Was a bathroom valet for a week inside Caesar's nightclub once upon a time. People pissin' all over the floor, pukin', shittin' themselves...very disgusting gig. However, it IS a $100K gig. That week, I believe I walked with about $2,700. I would actually do it again. People don't realize that doormen and bathroom valets are actually quite lucrative jobs. Strip club bathroom valets would be the way to go.
