The fact that the guy wasn't sure how he got to the poison place implies that he got himself poisoned previously and forgot about it. It's a time loop.

I used to get poison for free. I'd crowd up to the long counter with a bevy of attractive women, buy us all drinks, and tip lavishly and ostentatiously. The fratboys would see this, envy me for my lovelies, then tip big on their drinks hoping to emulate my mojo. The counterguy appreciated my services, my "change" was always pretty much what I'd handed over but broken into smaller bills. My crew and I drank free for years. And the decent fratboys even ended up with this-night-dates and/or numbers. Who were we kidding, we were all there for pretty much the same reason. Win-win-win all the way 'round.

To be fair we aren't actually drinking for the purpose of getting poisoned lol, in the sense of taking in a substance that harms us. We drink to feel drunk because we enjoy that feeling. It's not like "society's stupid because we all drink poison" lol. No, the effects of this thing which is somewhat poisonous to us are also making us feel uninhibited and careless. Those are separate things from being poisoned, and that's really why we drink. I do get the joke though lol, but this was one too many "oh it's so true though" comments I noticed lol. It isn't true really, this is just a funny way to frame it.

@romart03

@@ryleighs9575 how on earth are you comparing drinking to rock climbing ? They’re completely things , rock climbing can be dangerous but strap you with protective gear and ropes so you don’t fall , as far as those who don’t aren’t professionals . Alcohol has caused more harm than good , anything that has the ability to dull your senses and take away what you are , a conscious human , shouldn’t be done , many are not even good for health , if alcohol consumption was not done people would be of a much higher quality in general , all the people who win competitions for your country don’t drink and are very strict about it . You celebrate them while not caring about the hardwork they put into it , but regardless without alcohol consumption people would be able to live much better lives imo , if taught how
@KanashiAtisuto
@KanashiAtisuto 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryleighs9575 It is in a way. Alcohol isn't good for your body- rock climbing can be & isn't necessarily bad unlike alcohol which will always be bad. Not to say that everyone has to be "perfect" but consuming drugs (not talking about actual, necessary/helpful medication here) is just negative in general. Claiming that it's not is just not knowing better or lying to yourself. There's a reason Ryan called it poison. It's literally destroying your freaking brain. One can argue that a bit isn't too bad but not that it is not bad. It's also honestly ridiculous to expect people to drink responsibly- it's been doing A LOT of damage & not just to the drinking people. If it wasn't so profitable for various groups it wouldn't be such a huge thing. I'm not pro banning alcohol but I'd love for society to be(come) more honest & educate thesmselves & others to shift away from such heavy & commonly accepted drug use.
@romart03
@romart03 2 жыл бұрын
@Latest Obsession agreed but alcohol consumption just generally isn’t good for us , I’m not against alcohol I’m general , it’s there in certain medicines , even in sketch pens for the blending of colours , I love alcohol when it helps me express my creativity , but consumption is a different topic all together and that’s not good for anything imo , it’s not even tasty lol , it’s just a social thing which people in masses do so it’s considered alright , but there are plenty things to drink from water to milk to shakes to mocktails to juices , all tasty, healthy and never have a chance of taking away your senses from you , alcohol consumption just seems like a part of human arrogance to me so I’m always against it , things like soft drinks are more acceptable , not good for health either but In small quantities on occasions , not in excess surely, but nothing to rid you of who you are
