Went to a concert last night and came home to my girlfriend of 3 years had packed and took the cat and left without a single warning sign. She left a long note that I haven’t been able to read yet. This is my first real heartbreak and I’m lost and completely confused.

Stay strong brother! You can’t see it now but you will be just fine. I was there a few years ago & trust me, you will make it through. Let yourself feel those emotions & work on yourself my boy. 💯

Went through it about a week ago, and the breakup was premature, and both sides were in the wrong. What sucks is that my first heartbreak was at 21 and not 14 because I didn't care enough in highschool 😂

21 and just had my first heartbreak about a month ago. Before her I was already plagued by loneliness and depression, but when I met her we became good friends and I found a sense of happiness again. Her and her ex broke up and I was there for her, I eventually fell for her though. Being stupid and inexperienced I ignored all the red flags that this was just a women using me to fill a void, she simply liked the love and attention I gave her. I started having trust issues with her, and as my love faded because of the shit I was going through I could finally see how much I was being disrespected, how much of the love was fake. I fell deeper into a depression, partly because of our relationship issues, but also because my grandma had died and I lost my job. I could no longer provide her with gifts, with food, or with happiness, because I was broke myself, both financially and spiritually. She used it all as an opportunity to leave me, and she got with her coworker 2 weeks after. The same guy I got upset about one time cause she said he flirted with her and she was still following him on social medias, one time the 🐕‍🦺 was even liking his tik toks next to me in the car. She claimed that she just wasn't ready for a relationship, and that's why she left. But after I confronted for getting with him so soon after our break up, it was because "I had problems" and "we weren't compatible". Which I agree, we weren't compatible, she's very basic compared to me. However it didn't change that she had given me fake love, used me, and disrespected me just to drop me like I was nothing for a guy she was more interested in. She also never took into account almost all my "problems" stem from her, and the rest from my depression. She never asked me how any of it affected me, she just started treating me like a nuisance because I was using drugs and alcohol to cope. I loved her, never treated her badly, I gave her what I had when I had it, I was there for her every time she was going through something, but none of it mattered. I was just a problem for her

Hey I’m in the same boat yall. Broke up with my first love on the 14th of August. It’s been a really difficult time but trust me it’s gets easier and easier and I’ve learnt so much about life and myself. Heart break would have to be one of the most human experiences, we all go through it and we all come out the other end. You got this.

I told her, "If we dont work out, you'ld be CRAZY not to get back with your ex." ... knowing I was bailing & the fact that if I said those words, it would SMACK her across the face. She was a maneater!

I respectfully disagree with the title. I think heartbreak is arguably worse later in life depending on the stage you're in. If you're heartbroken in your 40's or 50's you feel like you could be alone forever and that you're never going to find your person. Fact of the matter is, it's different for everyone. If you perceive the heartbreak situation you're in to be the most painful thing in the world it will be.
