Even after all this time, Josh STILL doesn't realize he's wrong about how Savage Deviljho happens. For those unaware, it's not because of cannibalism. In fact, all Deviljho are naturally cannibalistic, only not engaging in it if they've had enough to eat to be temporarily satiated; it's this brief non-hunger state when Deviljho will breed and reproduce. Savage Deviljho is what happens when a Deviljho lives for longer than normal, and it loses its ability to feel full. It'll continually eat and convert what it eats into energy, hence its permanently swollen muscles and overcharged Dragon Element production when it enrages. In that sense, Savage Deviljho can no longer reproduce since they'll never feel full enough to trigger the hormone for breeding interactions, and will constantly see other Deviljho as prey. It could very well be that this is why people misinterpret cannibalism as being the cause of Savage Deviljho, rather than a symptom. Savage Deviljho are always cannibals if they happen upon other Deviljho, which has lore folks who don't pay closer attention believe this to be the reason why they're mutated, when in fact it's just an aftereffect of their true mutation of old age and constant overindulgent feeding to fuel unceasing energy production. It's a very tragic life-cycle. The species already has heightened metabolism and doesn't often have non-violent interactions, but at least they can engage in them very rarely. But simply living long enough results in them becoming complete monsters who live only to kill, feed, and repeat forever until they eventually expire because they can no longer control their own voracious appetites.

23:38 Oh, so that's where Cotton learned his Mushroom-Stomping Dance of Rage🦀🌒🐌
@Going4Broke25287 ай бұрын
I really like past Cotton's joking interpretation of Savage Jho as essentially just the equivalent of the Mangekyou Sharingan, just the thought of a Jho being forced to eat his mate and the power he gained being a constant reminder of that is such a cool concept, joke or not. It makes me think of the Wendigo, where you resort to Cannibalism in extreme cold and it turns you into a monster.

28:20, So to deal with this little addendum, Fingerprints are shaped throughout someone’s life and are different depending on what those hands did. So the dead clones fingerprints would be unrecognizable while the actual fingerprints they have on record are yours. Still the DNA bit would befuddle them to no end.

It might be kind of a retcon, but imagine Savage Deviljho is in Wilds and it's always missing it's tail, thus implying that eating it's own tail is what savaged him. Think of that as a variant. A Deviljho who ate it's severed tail as an act of desperation and hunger while fighting and losing to hunters, only for that to snap something inside of it and gain it the power to kill the hunters and live on transformed.

Fun fact: one of the reasons Michael Crichton wrote Jurassic Park is because it was ruled that genetically engineered organisms belong to whoever created them/holds the patent to their genome. So i want to mention something that an animation made me think about. Remember the old information that deviljho eated his tail that was proven false? Its actually right,savage is an example of this. If a deviljho that was hungry from a good while founded another monster and got into a fight with it losing his tail in the process he would resort to eating it and that would turn him into a savage deviljho.
