The FIXTF2 Signatures Have Finally Been Delivered

No hard feelings Lonq, just wanted to clarify that we did drop several updates on our Twitter relating to going to Valve in August, pushing it back to September for cheaper prices, and why we couldn’t reveal much about the process (the aforementioned safety precautions to dissuade bad actors mentioned in this video). These posts would always get reposted to the top of Reddit, so we figured that two strong avenues of communication would’ve been enough for any curious onlookers regarding the finer details. In retrospect, we probably could’ve made a Twitter account specifically for the movement, attached that to the site and used that as a hub for updates. Hindsight’s 20/20 for sure, however we definitely did not go MIA. If there was ever info that appeard to be missing, it was a result of getting buried under more info, not out of us not giving a shit. I’d hope the thousands of dollars spent on delivering/printing and the dozens of hours spent combing through edgy names proved as much, there’s a lot under the hood that people didn’t get to see. Like I said, no hard feelings, just felt the need to clarify.

Bots were never completely wiped out, but the vast majority of their hosters were banned so their numbers are down. They no longer outnumber players, so their threat's been nullified for now.

I'm very glad it happened, but in the end I agree with your opinions on the management of the movement. While FixTF2 had (imo) a much stronger start than SaveTF2, it had a really rough middle and end. At least they actually followed through. Thanks for the consistent updates on the protest. Valve is still not off the hook yet. I'm still not going to buy anything from the TF2 shop in general until they actually keep the game bot free despite having been bot free for ⅔ months. I'm glad to have taken part in that #FixTF2 petition rather than hear from what those loser doomers say because the bot crisis had been a very serious problem for quite some time and this should never go past Valve's quality control ever again. And remaining blissfully ignorant by going back to it now when Valve should still be held accountable is definitely the worst thing a community could do. Even if these bot hosters would try to make a desperate come back to make the game worse for everything, they're just completely fucked anyway, let alone coping. We do not want the status quo of this bot crisis crap to reset ever again and this had to end. It's been 4 years too long and it should end right here.

At this point, the vast majority of players have no idea of how much better the casual experience would be if the match didn't end in a couple of minutes and they could find a populated server of any map in the game without a horribly unbefitting matchmaking.

He was on the upper left shooting down at our engi nest on the point from around the large silo. increasing numbers of bots, followed by banwaves are the signs of a healthy functioning online game. The problem was not "the are some bots" the problem was that the ban waves had stopped for years. Botters "test the waters" with their new bots when a new detection method is used by making 1 or 2 small changes and seeing if it bans them or not. Banwaves make it harder for them by waiting for botters to make several changes making it difficult to pinpoint which specific thing is being detected.
