I’m so pissed off. This was my childhood show. It’s sucked for years, but we had those two amazing episodes, so I had hope, then I saw the finale. It had so much potential. It wasn’t hard at all to write a good episode. Eric Wallace deserves nothing after this.

Random fun facts about Cecile😂 1. She's been here since Season 1 (yes, really) and was kind of an antagonist in the episode she appeared in (the Everyman episode) 2. She has another child, Joanie, who's about Barry and Iris' age. She hasn't appeared since Season 4 3. You know what they should've done? Replace the filler (other than 9x09), with episodes that actually contribute to The Final Arc. I thought the whole season, especially the last episode was incredible. It's incredible how in the end the whole team got superspeed and super strength in the last episode that allowed Cecile to fly and also defeat dozens of Godspeed clones when just last season they had an all out Speed Force war. I also love how Kiyone basically told us that 'no one is going to die tonight, like she was breaking the 4th wall', and how Chuck had superpowers that he didn't know about. It was incredible how powerful Nora was and was able to phase her belly button and spine so that Savitar would fail to stab her. Then she casually just stabbed him once - remember when Jesse did it he ran off - but this time he just laid down and basically went into a coma. Then Zoom decided he would rather just threaten to kill everyone and then run around and around in the tunnel rather than you know...kill everyone. I'd like to think that the last time I saw Thawne this season was in episode 10, so I totally blocked that part out because it brings into question why Eddie needs to be the avatar at all. And Cobalt Blue's plan was incredible, when he found the others in time and space and said: so you all fought a good fight, you spent a season tormenting the Flash, you even solo'd him at one point. But ultimately you were defeated. How would all of you like to come back, combine your power, experience, anger and thirst for revenge for like 30 minutes or so to you know, lose immediately? Then after absorbing massive amounts of negative speed force energy, I really loved how pep talks and the power of friendship lead to an awkward friendship between the positive and negative speed force. It would have been incredibly satisfying if the bad guys won. I loved Seasons 1-2 and even 3. Then there were some good moments, but imagine ending such an epic legacy with a 13 episode season that only had 1 episode that didn't absolutely suck. Rant over...Grant was as incredible Flash, but even he couldn't outrun the real big bad, the writers.

Grant Gustin deserved way better writers. I think if the showrunner for the first 3 seasons was called back this final could’ve been one of the greatest work in television history. This whole season could’ve been about the origins of Reverse Flash and Cobalt Blue, what happened to Zoom of season 5, a redemption for Savitar and maybe give Godspeed a good scene or two. And this all would culminate in an epic speedster battle royale where Barry and Savitar could team up and fight Reverse Flash, Zoom , Godspeed and Cobalt Blue. That would’ve been epic. The possibilities are endless and there could’ve been multiple full circle moments giving closure to multiple things. But no. What we got was Eric Wallace’s Cecile and Friends guest starring The Flash

i have a Better script for the grand finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. Arrow did all the right things with its last season. Flash should’ve followed a similar formula even though the writers weren’t planning on killing Barry off. Having every speedster villain would have been cool if the writing was better, and if the supporting cast got less screen time. i have a Better script for the grand finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Nora/XS showed up as a main character in Season 5 right? That was the Cicada season if I remember correctly... It was the first season where I noticed that Barry felt more like a background character in his own series. Season 5 came off as the Nora show feat. Team Flash (including Barry himself). As time went on, we had Cecile with more powers, Cisco leaving, more Team Flash members coming in and Barry felt shoved to the back where you could count the number of times THE FLASH actually appeared in a single season of the show on one hand that's been through a wood chipper...

Season 9 is probably the worst season of the whole show. Red death was trash, too many filler episodes for a shorter season with a terrible support cast that nobody cares about, and colbat blue arc was insanely rushed when it should have had glimpses and hints sprinkled through the whole season. The only 2 good episodes was eobard thawne episode in the past and the episode with oliver. How sad this is how the flash and arrow verse ends

What CW's Flash problem lies truly on how they handle their episode structures. The episodes always ends at a cliffhanger the a villain setting up his/her motive in the next episode. Then followed by a filler episode nothong to do with the villain and at the end, sets up the villains story yet again. It always pieces itself until the end of the season and expects us emphatize with the villain.

The only problem with the full circle on the night the Nora died was that its wrong. The original flash there should be from the original time line, that timelines flash followed that timelines reverse flash back in time, completely removing the original flash and replacing him with the flash of the shows timeline makes no sense. Great episode, but its not the events we've been shown before. Weve been shown before reverse flash coming out of a portal with the original timeline flash following him out a few seconds later and running up the street to Barry's childhood house. I wish if they were going to do a full circle thing that at least put effort into it making sense with previous established things

when it first cuts to the future scene in part 3 as they're arriving back in star labs having just finished a battle Cecile says something about a new costume so that establishes she already has one some point before 2049, just that chester was upgrading it. however that still doesn't explain her just suddenly having the costume in the present. I guess it could be explained away by the scene where he has allegra trying on a costume in part 2 but that scene specifically had it explained that he was only working on a costume for HER, not that he was also working on one for Cecile

A missed opportunity for the 2048 visit was that they could have had Cecile see Jenna, now 30 or so, and see her as a superhero too. It was originally because of Jenna that Cecile had her powers in the first place, so follow through and show that she has powers too, and Cecile trained when she was ready for it. Yes, it would be similar to Barry and Nora's story, but why not at least have that part of the episode mean something? Speaking of Nora, why not show her and her relationship with Jenna? Jenna's not that much older than her, so even though by blood, she's her half-aunt, they way they'd grow up together, they'd be more like cousins. What a waste. No, I'm not advocating for /more/ focus on Cecile, but if you're gonna do it, do something interesting with it.

I don't know what kind of influence the actress for Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) had on the showrunner (Eric Wallace) for that character to get such special treatment, which would often be at the detriment of the show! Anytime the actress made a suggestion at a panel, or some interview, it would somehow end up on the screen. These are a few notable things that I caught: 1) Cecile getting stronger with her powers. 2) Cecile practicing law again. 3) Cecile playing a villain. 4) Directing an episode. 5) Cecile getting a suit. This all started happening after season 5 when Eric Wallace came on board. I have never seen a show that gave so much priority and precedence to a lower tier character like this, all these things aside, Cecile got an abnormal amount of screentime and attention for her stature!

The worst thing eddie does as a villain is beat up barry and causes some property damage, that’s it, he doesn’t actually kill anyone. I guess he revives the other villains but reverse flash is the only one who actually does anything and it’s completely devalued because plot armor. No stakes, no investment… the ending is ok I guess? but also kinda cringe with the dialogue. It’s just weird to me that barry didn’t think about awakening speedster powers in others until the finale. It’s end’s how you’d expect aside from that though. It’s feel good because of the long term investment but the dialogue is cringey af despite grant giving it his best.

The show finally comes full circle, Barry gets closure on the death of his parents, we get one more appearance of the reverse flash and he's the best he's been since season 1. Cut out the negative speed force and its a satisfying ending to me.

As someone who only watched the show, when I watched the Flashpoint animated film, I was genuinely shocked by how smart and mature Barry was in that story and how independent he was. It's almost as if The Flash is actually held back by his cast of teammates rather than being empowered by them

Man one thing I will dearly miss is Blake Kneely's soundtracks. He made one of the best villian soundtracks and made the moment with his beautiful orchestra 👌❤

This show could be called “Flash and his Amazing Friends” in the same animation style as Spidey and his Amazing Friends, be played on nickelodeon or disney channel, and it could almost play out exactly the same as the show we got

If the filler episodes didn’t happen we could have had potentially an amazing 7-8 part arc spacing it out and having the final villains being done properly… I’ll always love this show but I can’t ignore the horrible flaws and inconsistencies! If not for Grant Gustin as an actor I wouldn’t have stayed invested

Jess Chambers being introduced is an embarrassment to the show. They needed to at least mention how Jesse Quick's story wrapped up before introducing a character most of us didn't ask for.

I think the fans need to come together to make a petition for the CW to make a Flash Season 9 Redo or just a final Arc Redo w/ better writing & more episodes to set it up because the entire season aside from 3 or 4 episodes was wildly disappointing & seemed very incompetent in its execution. I know they probably don’t want to, and Grant’s probably done too, but one can dream lol.
