I never got into the franchise, but unfortunately, there are so many other large fandoms like this. It's very exhausting that we can't simply enjoy what we like in our own ways without hurting others, deliberately or otherwise. (Personally, I see this in the cosplay community all the time.) Additionally, while I believe creators have an obligation to warn, disclaim, paywall, age verify, etc. certain kinds of content, others have the responsibility to respect these boundaries. (Wish I had had some of these now-common features back during my childhood net usage.) It saddens me how toxic the internet has become and gets excused by "it's just how it is" without any small effort to make it better.

It seems like you intentionally left out the part where Scott said that the models looked so similar to his own that steel-wool confused them.
