Dennis is so in touch with himself and the world in general and his advice to Frank is classic - we all should live by his mantra

Miller! Pure Pittsburgh. I grew up there and I'm telling you, in every group of guys there was a Dennis Miller. Profane, direct and insulting but when you realize it's funny because he's screwing with your head and you become a devotee. You gotta have a thick skin.

Dennis Miller give the conversation such a great buzz. Still sharp and funny as ever with what seems like an even better sense of himself. I really respect him both as a comic and as what appears the be a very self aware good guy. Thanks for this Frank and team. Just a great, smart, funny podcast.

@myself to myself He's got a brilliant wit about him, which becomes pretty clear if you watch him for any length of time.
@chrisdriver77764 жыл бұрын
@myself to myself well trust me... He makes many people, including myself, laugh out loud... And I think he's quite insightful... I used to like Colbert... But now I just see Colbert as a progressive propagandistic hack... Only willing to be critical of one side of the aisle, a la Jon Stewart.
@chrisdriver77764 жыл бұрын
@myself to myself Miller and Stewart are very different... I agree with you that Stewart sucks.
@chrisdriver77764 жыл бұрын
@myself to myself I used to think Colbert was hilarious... But now I just see him has cowardly political and divisive.
@chrisdriver77764 жыл бұрын
@myself to myself yeah... Jon Stewart's show was political propoganda, indoctrinating young people by operating under the pretense that only one side of the political aisle is worthy of mockery.

Anytime I remember Dennis Miller's line, "that's harder to get off than Martha Stewart on a set of dirty sheets" I'm rolling.. Not sure how that one became part of the mental carousel but that's the magic of DM.

No idea how I bumped into this, oh wait, for some reason I typed Dennis Millers name into KZbin for reasons I no longer recall, and this came up. Must have been a pandemic moment. What a way to end the week, listening to all of you was great. Humor still is the best medicine, just don't tell Dr. Fauci and the medical gang, or it will be quarantined. Thank you!!

Great Comments about Connie Hawkins & Roger Brown. There is a tremendous book called, "Foul," written by David Wolf (published 1972) that is an epic read and explains all the shenanigans that went on to screw over The Hawk and RB. Bottom line Connie Hawkins was a talent in the vein of Dr. J who played the "Air" game above the rim long time before MJ. Please read. Great Pod Frank. Thank you.

fantastic clip there, thanks very much for this. and even though it "got serious" towards then end, that was one of my fav parts - just love how Dennis Miller laid it on the line for Frank and told him to not worry so much about being touchy feely and pandering to all the politically correct addicts, these brain-dead assholes out there who are just looking for an excuse to get offended and play whatever "card" they can to scare or shame others into running for their lives. screw that passive aggressive self-righteous bullshit. spot on Dennis, as usual (though I get Frank wanting to strike a balance too. entertainers should entertain, not preach.)
