Today, I'm going to be explaining the entire red dead redemption iceberg, starting from the beginning of the history of Red Dead Redemption, all the way to the end in Red Dead Redemption 2.

My question is how hasn’t John heard of tumbleweed in rdr1 if some of the gang members are from there, surely not all the gang members we see trekking up the mountains are from black water, I find it hard to believe that every gang member met Dutch in black water and that the gang were never more western than blackwater

What are you talking about? The gang didn’t meet at Blackwater, they were picked up all over the country as the years progressed. And there’s many lines of dialogue that explicitly say that Blackwater is the furthest EAST they’ve been as a gang, so I’m not sure what you mean about them “not being more west than Blackwater.”

slight correction to the ending of II, I don’t think Dutch was there to team up with Micah, Dutch was likely there to shoot Micah himself as evident by when John prompts him “what are you doing here Dutch” and Dutch answers “same as you I suppose”, implying Dutch was going to kill Micah like John was, wether Dutch was merely there for some sort of revenge or closure, or he wanted to take over Micah’s gang, I don’t know, but everything in the scene seems to indicate Dutch was going to shoot Micah regardless of if John did it himself

When you put the events into a chronology, Arthur's endings come under criticism because there isn't a cut and dry finish to them. Because the player has agency in the death of Arthur, his history becomes inconsistent. Did he die of natural causes, a gunshot to head or a knife to the back? Where did he die? John's death is very much left to the facts of what exactly happened when he died. The player cannot deviate from the fate John is given. I wonder had R* had a single conclusion to Arthur's death, where the events of his life are not left to player choice.

I read in a newspaper in RDR1 long before rdr2 came out and it said something about the departure of the gang in 1906. All the characters in rdr1 speak on the past transgressions of John like they happened less than 10 years ago. And why did they take 5 years to capture John and his family. It’ll make since if he left in 1906 and got found in 1909-1010 and the events of the first game is of course 1911.

I just think R* reused lore and events that were left vague and missed place them in the timeline causing a lot of plot holes. Rdr changed a lot story wise and game wise throughout development. Sadie can be found in black water with Arthur and a lot of ambrino was removed. Not to mention the forgotten marston Daughter

That's not true. The newspaper only says that 1906 was the last time Dutch was seen publicly. The gang isn't mentioned at all. And Marston's daughter isn't ignored in RDR 2, there's a reference to her during the epilogue.

I think we need to know what happened to Sadie Adlers dad. Why is Sadie so tough? Your honor if it's good can have an ending where you end up being a good dad and raising Sadie right. Or you can have low honor, but still very much love your daughter and have a strong relationship with her. Your last moments as a low honor ending could be going out fighting for her and she had to witness you die. Both would explain why she was so tough and it would be set in a time frame closer to the civil war. You could even have a run in with Wyatt Earp. you could either help him or at the end Wyatt Earp guns you down. the options are wide open and the only option I see to stay withing the Dutch Vanderlin gang lore while having a completely separate cast of characters without the ending being predictable. Not to mention you could even put Doc Holiday in it. Gosh I can just imagine the hype of hearing "I'm your huckleberry" in a red dead game....bruh.... The epilogue could be a young Arthur when he was around 25. It could carry on the tradition of bringing back a loved character like they did with John. In RDR2 we have Arthur when he was in his 30's. So time frame wise it would make sense to have him at about 25 if were ending off with Sadie being close to 16 at the end of RDR3.
