Nighttime Streets is what I think Tarkov should feel like: scurrying around, trying to hit obscure objectives, ears strained trying to avoid danger around every corner. It's also properly lit once the streetlights come on. Took them a few patches, but it's one of the only maps you can navigate without NVG and not instantly die.

I'm late, but I think Streets at night is horrible because of the street lights. It feels awkward to play with NVGs, and I don't know why I would ever play them with NVGs either. I think this makes it a good map to play only for campers, who will find the one dark corner and hide in it, whereas anyone that is actually trying to play the map has to go from one street light to the other, and hope they don't get murdered by everyone who can see them.

Solo Night streets in the rain is Tarkov at its peak. Even better early wipe when no one has night vision. Atmosphere always gave me those ODST vibes.

I mean - as a duo, we enjoyed day time streets a lot. Quests that have multiple spawns, how big it is and that it feels to me as customs (fav map) but bigger. Absolutely love it. Haven't tried night yet tho

I'm really glad Arena is coming to Tarkov, mostly because PvP is a side-affect of the intention behind Raids whereas Arena will be purely PvP for when you just want to tap heads (or more likely get head-eyed yourself).

The hands cut off thing could be a reference to Tom Clancy’s The Division. There’s a game mode where you have to survive and extract from post-apocalyptic New York and sometimes you find bodies of your comrades with their special wristwatches taken and there hands cut off. The deadliest foe that usually appears when you try to extract are elite soldiers called Hunters who are wearing a load of wristwatches taken from your buddies; it’s really scary.

Also do you think you'll stick with content creation after your degree is said and done and you get to start on your career path in your field? As a student myself I struggle to juggle school everything else in life on top of choosing to play a game as dense as Tarkov -- I couldn't imagine putting extra work into making videos at the pace you do on top of that. My 1st wipe was last wipe when streets was introduced. It was honestly a noobie paradise because everyone hated the map and there was tons of loot. It's definitely a different place this wipe with some of my "safe" areas becoming hotspots.

As a solo player, i only play streets during the night. It is more of a survival mode because the map is so big and messy and there are so many quests I need to do that it usually takes me 40 minutes to navigate, so it adds up to the tension

Streets at night with nothing but a .357 with FMJ's and a dream, the most fun I've had in Tarkov in a while. You need money? Streets at night. You need XP? Streets at night. You want chaos and fighting, Streets at daytime. I've had a period of time during this wipe where I would just run my Scav on Streets, extract and the go right back in with my PMC rocking the Scav gear, repaired and slightly pimped out. You spend nothing for it but gain money and XP. Great for leveling too, since you'll just about always spend half the raid overweight. This is the kind of map a Timmy can break out of his shell and gradually build up confidence.

Dude has found the map that makes him feel the utter vibe of tarkovs maps. Interchange does that for me. Which is awkward when there are a half dozen psycho's in there with you desperately looking for a man in a tracksuit. The whole game makes me feel like day streets makes you feel. But I've been feeling the lone survivor ODST rookie vibe since I started playing. Really just makes me so hype for STALKER 2 so I have somewhere I can get the same atmosphere without having to undertake counciling for the PVP trauma.

I'm on my first wipe and I did a daytime streets raid, got crushed, and then made it my mission to learn every single inch of that map. I'm not saying I'm a good streets player, or even a good player, but it is one of my best maps. And I enjoy daytime because of the chaos but my best games have indeed been night.

I am just now learning Streets on my own. I really like it so far BUT you mentioned the one thing that sucks ass the most… INVISIBLE MINES AT LEXOS. I opened the side door from the grocery store with a bitcoin and a graphics card plus some other solid loot including a 7.62 MDR, basically a full kit and some solid loot… only to instantly be obliterated by an invisible claymore I didn’t know was there. I know it’s part of the experience learning sometimes… but come on, man! It wasn’t a skill issue or a situation where I got outplayed by a better player… but an invisible freaking mine 😭😭 oh and a green battery.

Claymores can be triggered by an electrical signal sent by movement sensors, just like your garage lights. Keep in mind that consumes some power so either they replace batteries or connect the to the electrical grid. Hope that explains the "magic" claymores but bosses ain't that dumb 😂

I love streets and yes I exclusively almost always play at night as well. The map is just dripping with so much character and story in every single little nook and cranny, I still feel like I'm discovering new areas of the map every week

THIS is one of the primary reasons i enjoy PvE so much. It allows me to play that left behind soldier playstyle, playing more slowly, creeping along and taking in the map. I dont have to worry about meta or anything like that. Completely different game. No hate on PvP, just saying whats cool about PvE

Going through the map slowly is how you progress through it during the day time too. Streets is easily my favorite map day or night. You can either push pvp or just stay out the way and loot. After 15 minutes usually all the chads are dead or gone. Just don’t go sprinting around everywhere. If you’re not crossing a street or in a spot with a lot of windows walking is your best bet. I literally hit lvl 3 traders and quit questing and just play streets.
