I wonder if that cat had dog siblings 🤔. I've heard that sometimes, one will take on the traits of the other if raised with them from a young age (dogs who act like cats or cats who act like dogs). Especially if there were more than one of the opposite species in the house.

I had a shit year. My woman of 12 years left me. I lost my house and my 2 cats that I loved dearly. This is the first Christmas I'm spending alone and had an awful awful dream last night lol. I'm sorry you've had a shit year. This is the third Christmas since my mom passed, and I am still adjusting. I am proud to be getting through, and I think you will be too. I turned out happier after my divorce than when I was married. It won't be easy but take it one day at a time and do your best that day. They won't all be great but that's ok. Maybe there is a rescue cat out there just waiting for you. Good luck, you'll get there.
