I disagree Raptu Jragon Producing. 2d animation can look better and it has. For example; Redline, Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man, All quality character animation in old 1990's Traditional animated movies from Disney and Dreamworks and don't even get me started on how beautiful Kizumonogatari is. I believe Spiderverse is the start of the mix of 3D and 2D animation coming together properly.

Im sure in the next few months or years after this release all of their efforts will paid off.... Kudos.

The only problem I have with it is that a lot of it really looks 3D it doesn't have the same visual effect. I hope that someday there can be some type of tech that allows people to animate the way you do in 3D with keyframes. I know rigging exists but it can only do so much in 2D. It can't really handle perspective changes.

PoseVR looks interesting but it's only an R&D project right now. I've only played around with a few of the early software tools out there so far, but I dream of the day we can see true VR posing tools in Blender. It is just so much more intuitive to pose models in native 3D space in VR while you can see them as lifelike objects in front of you, than posing them in only 2 dimensions at a time on a flatscreen. Best I can describe it is like the difference in trying to paint realistically using a mouse and juggling opacity/diameter hotkeys, vs painting it with a pen tablet screen like Clintiq with pressure sensitivity. It's just a more natural interface.

@technofeeliak
@technofeeliak 6 жыл бұрын
@Raphael Barros Yes, he says at the very beginning that he's from Barcelona and his very strong accent makes it obvious too. It's actually very charming, but I have to listen very closely to understand his words. There's nothing wrong with expecting to have an attentive audience, but I had so much trouble that I was about to skip this video entirely after a minute. I understand the Blender development team is a small community, but when presenting concepts to the entire world I think the delivery and quality can be improved upon. I'm not making a racist comment, I'm only pointing out what is obviously less than desirable about this video. But of course, someone has to defend this man's integrity as a contributor to the project as if that's what my comment was about. Look, I can speak both French and English, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with my less than perfect French to be a spokesperson for a product. If I were to stand in front of an audience and the world, believe me, I would make how I organize myself and speak a priority. Maybe, just maybe, someone who is more comfortable should be speaking on behalf of Blender. That's probably not in line with the spirit of what's being done, and I do recognize as I said that this is a community effort... but I think at the very least, someone with video editing skills should be cutting the video down, removing the frozen frame that appears for a few minutes at the end... If this doesn't make sense to you and you feel attacked personally, I think that might reflect on the kind of problems Blender 2.8 is likely to suffer from. I mean, how many years did it take before the right click default which everyone was having difficulty with was actually addressed? Anyway, I'm only talking about professionalism. Raising the bar a little. Making what's said clear... please and with all due respect.
@technofeeliak
@technofeeliak 6 жыл бұрын
@Raphael Barros I'm only doing what you're doing... interpreting, not making up a strawman. If you read my first comment, I spoke for myself saying that I had a hard time understanding what this man was saying. I'll point out that your reaction was to say that he made an important contribution to this tool and that you believe he's Spanish... so... his integrity... his nationality or race or culture. Why would you need to make a case for him anyway? I've also notice you didn't agree with me where I'm talking about the error in the editing process. Look, I just want these presentations to improve that's all. No one was hurt in the writing of my comment. ;)

@@firstnamelastname-pd6nj, well I don't want to pick in this man... but yes oh my God. If it's about getting a message across to the world then... a little refinement maybe? A tiny one? I agree, and practicing pronunciation is not really that hard, I was raised in barcelona as well, I just write the words on google translate and analyze the sounds and repeat the pronunciation until I get it right. My accent doesn't sound spanish, it used to, but I practiced with observation, trial and error. A Bristish man told me that my accent is like a mix between british and american. And there's no problem in understanding what I say when I talk to english speaking people.

This is so mind-blowingly exciting for me. I'm an After Effects and Photoshop user and have never worked in a real 3D software before. How do I start? (That's an open question to anyone because I realize that everyone has their own preferred jumping off point.) I often use live video footage to onion skin against, to get the movement and timing I want. Is that possible here? Is this something that people can pick up on pretty fast? Is this part of Blender now or is it an update that's coming soon? I'd love to join that training program. Thanks.

@@christophermoonlightproduction Yes, you can use background images. They can use an image sequence as source. However, the current beta build of blender 2.80 seems to be a bit broken and the "Auto Refresh" option does nothing, so you have to click the refresh button on every frame change to see the correct image from the image sequence.
