I d k dude, I love my PCVR. Quest 3 has those flat lenses too which really make a huge difference. AR is cool though, but I prefer full immersion.

the lack of 6 dof and only 50 or below fov is what still holding me off of all of these ar glasses, il wait till they have 6 dof and 100 fov at minimum

There are a few companies I know that have managed to crack the 100 degrees fov mark. Only a matter of time now 🙏

Ant Reality have a 120 fov display (with built in dimming that can effectively turn them from AR to VR), and are apparently licensing them to Xreal, who previously made a set of 6DoF AR glasses with hand tracking... I've got my fingers crossed.

Th ray neo is clearer, but I guess this is expected as it's a smaller fov. The micro oled display is also better for movie watching ect

If only you could have something like this but with proper hand and eye tracking. Then not only would you not need screens, you wouldn't need a keyboard, mouse, or controllers either to do efficient work or gaming on them for example. Some of this would require extra processing power which could totally be done with a screenless, keyboard-less portable computer, maybe the size of a phone or laptop but optimized for AR and for carrying in your pocket/back rather than on top of your head. To include eye and hand tracking, glasses exactly like this are a little too small but some kind of cross between a quest and these glasses where you can still see your face and there isn't quite so much weight would be much more comfortable and better looking. Not discreet, but more stylish somehow.

Just ordered some. So you recommend? And what are you using for a case? Do yo use "Blinders" on them too? If so what ones? I ordered these today over the Xreal / Xreal 2. Hope I like them. Wanting to watch movies/steam deck on them.

These are my first pair I've owned so I can't really compare to the other brands. I travel alot and don't have a TV in my room, so for me I'm essentially using as a TV screen over my phone.

technically i think this is mixed reality. Augmented reality would be if you don't see any real life items but instead real life items are changed to appear differently

Major downside to these glasses are the fov. They are very small compared to the quest and other headsets. They are cool but the fov is so tiny.
