Large moss grow outs. Moss is something I can never get enough off. Weeping moss is best

Ok just got to the end and ideas for videos that I'de like to see: Acclimation and water parameter guides for different plants. Perhaps with monthly/weekly updates. You could also roll this into experimentation with the range each species can handle. As a fellow diligent gardener, I can understand not wanting to push your plants too far, but testing the range and pulling back regarding temp, gh, kh, ph, lighting, etc could be really interesting. Especially with weekly-monthly updates on the progress of those experiments.

Nice, I was wondering how you were doing. I would like to see videos on: -how did you set up your business? -how did you reach out to sellers? -how do you efficiantly propogate as many plants as possible? Per plant spec.

Plant propagation area setup. What to buy, why, how to set it up, how to keep on top of it, how to grow efficient yields. Plenty of vids out there on tank setup, mushroom builds, very few on actual dedicated plant growing areas.

Looking forward to new content. I had a small operation selling on eBay. I stopped after I moved, but hope to start again. I only sold s. repens, but made a couple hundred a month and thought about expanding to other species.
@AquariumPlantLab2 ай бұрын
Thats awesome! S repens is a great one and very popular. If you expand I would do so carefully. A few species at a time and really dial those in before expanding. Also, just an FYI, I had to restart my membership system from scratch due to a technical issue. I saw you had just joined. You will be refunded for that. You'll need to rejoin if you are still interested in that.

Welcome back! I’m very curious as to what 5-10 plants you’re ultimately going to decide on and your tips on those species ( I realize your still thinking that through). Once decided, was it due to there ease of propagation, high volume sellers etc. Also, what changes in propagation methods did you tweak? Thank you!

I am so glad to have you back, I learned so much from you... and I have been in the aquarium hobbit for 30 years. You opened a new door, I am looking at plants in a different way. I have 30+ aquariums, my hobbit is to reproduce fish, not plants, and suddenly you appeared, and BOOM all my tanks have plants that I have been growing because of you! You truly have been an example in this hobbit. So, many you tube channels... same content, same info, copied each others, they are out of fresh ideas... but you are a bubble of fresh air with a different and great quality content. Welcome back!

Aside from my lfs, you are the only one I have purchased plants from. All the plants I got from you are thriving while most of what I have bought locally have struggled and died. That is despite my delivery being delayed en route with the crowdstrike hack. I got water wisteria, ludwigia repens, staurogyne repens, and red root floaters. Most of the floaters died because of the delay but the remaining ones have bounced back and are multiplying like crazy. I think you are doing well as far as quality is concerned. Can't wait to see the new content.

Happy to see you posting again! I was honestly happy with your old content. It was nice to see content from the emmersed side of the plants for profit business. Ive been selling plants since 2016, i sell 95% floating plants/underwater grown. I've come to the same conclusion as you recently about focusing on just a few plants. At one point i was selling close to 40 and now im down to only 3 to 6 available at a time and i struggle to keep those in stock. Hope the new changes gives you some free time back. Looking forward to the next video!

I waited for new content from you. I even wrote you on your page. Do whatever is good for you - life is short, there should be some amount of fun in it. Ideas for content: + Plants propagation with or without ventilation? I know you prefer high humidity but what about algae? I struggle with it without vent holes. Soils keeps soaked with water within months. + In-depth fertilization method - aquarium ferts or home plants ferts? + Soil - basic dirt or something underneath of it? Like manure, solid state fert balls or something? + Insects, like fungus gnats - i struggle with a lot of them and i think their larvae damage plants. They are in dirt and i dont know how to fight them without resorting to pesticides. + Do you reset your containers from time to time or just keep them clean and use ferts to counter soil's nutrients depletion? + All of my moss containers died. Maybe this topic could use an update/refresh? The same for carpeting plants. I didnt have any success even with your tutorial.

I am a long term fish owner, also shrimp breeder and plecs, lately I sell a fair amount of plants on Ebay UK. It pays for nice food for my fish and a small amount of pocket change so save. I have been thinking of expanding, however I grow all my plants submersed in my aquariums, and I keep seeing people grow emersed for profit etc. I primarily sell Christmas moss, subbwassertang and recently guppy grass sold so quick I sold out and almost ran out in my aquariums. So any decent advice from an experienced grower and seller like yourself is useful. To ask a simple question though, is emersed growth the best/quickest? and do people complain of plants melting when they finally are placed in aquariums?

Content ideas: 1.) Lay out the whole business on paper. Profit/Loss, sales, marketing etc, focusing on the actual economics of starting a small business in “plants” but also gives to a way to transition the brand into being about adventures in business instead of tied to one market in case you hit a plateau (although the channel name is a little limiting :-) 2.) Adventures in Tissue Culture. (Including step 1) 3.) Travel to other aquatic farms & o interviews/learn 4.) Deep dives on individual species. Place of origin. First time it appeared in the hobby. Sustainability. How to grow it successfully. FAQ’s. - Good luck!

Your size is too small for an online business. Just a couple large orders, the whole bin will be gone, and you have to wait for months to grow them to a sellable size again. You need at least x10 this size, so keep small and make video is the way to go.
