I treat my game books like libraries’ reference books. I will let the other gamers use them, but the book stays in the room. It does not leave the room, it does not leave the building, unless I am the one person that owns the book and I’m deciding to relocate my property.

I agree, but when someone snatches a book without you knowing (Happens in Libraries too) You lose the book. This has happened to me more than once

cool term :) GH is what we use in our SNS game instead of DM or Gm...um as far as i am concerned, the [DM] should have all of their materials including whatever books they will use. The players are also responsible for their own materials including books needed. The [DM] should never be held to be the supplier of all of the game materials for any game. If discussed ahead of time that a player or [DM] need a book that either has and that person is willing to bring it for the game session, but must be returned to the owner at the end of the session. Just my 2 bits gang, cheers

the nice thing about my game or even DND, for the most part you dont need game books in order to play, nice to have but not absolutely needed, as far as old school DND. With %e and yes for sure pathfinder, ya you need the damn books, but in those games you do spend a lot of time looking through the books instead of playing. one of the reason i created my own version. again just my 2 bits. cheers

@swordsnstones Thank you for replying. I say Game Host, because we play at our home. When in the past we played else where, that person was the Game Host. But Game Host is a great name instead of DM/DM Etc. As you can hear... our views, but agree with you
