Basically, We were the fans of Bobby Fisher ; and, to some extent, the fans of Kasparov. And, for about three decades, we did not watch/ go through the chess matches on the magazines . Just a few months back, we resumed watching the chess matches, especially, the FIDE tournaments of 2024. In Particular, we watched the matches of Mrs. Hampy, which truly involved the strategy of 5 or 6 moves ahead in the Rapid chess matches. At last, We all soulfully pray to God to make Mrs. Hampy break the rating of Judit Polgar.

So can we expect Humpi to get the same kind of reception back home as Gukesh did?
@FLOT1118 күн бұрын
Gukesh won classical Wcc. This is rapid championship and that too women section. Way too weaker field than open section. So it's not even comparable to Gukesh. Stop inserting your fake forced feminist propaganda into everything and enjoy her win

Why there is a gender classification in chess tournaments?
@coolyoutuber623718 күн бұрын
Looks like there is Open category where both men and women can play. Also there is separate Women category. But there is no separate Men’s category. Still women are far behind men in Chess. Even current top player in Women’s is not even in top 100 in Open category. I just started following world chess recently, but these stats really put me in surprise.
@ariyaebrahimi87718 күн бұрын
@@coolyoutuber6237 I have been in many chess clubs myself and there you see the reason. Over 90 percent of the kids there are boys. What else would you expect when from the early age girls are not encouraged the same way the boys are. Maybe a cultural thing but yeah it's not good
@FLOT1118 күн бұрын
Men have a very high rating and skill field as compared to women. Women who play in open section couldn't even reach the top 100 as the above reply mentioned so they had to make a separate women's section so that they may play the world championship events in their section, because they couldn't reach it in the open section
@Alone-h6o18 күн бұрын
@@FLOT11 isn't that in most sports i think women men are not even close in physical sports in mental games too there is a lot of gap but not as much as the physical ones
@hg5fp6zk6y18 күн бұрын
TLDR; Women cannot make it in the open division because there is a women's division, not the other way around. Saying there is the women's division because women couldn't make it in the open division simply makes no sense. It's not like when chess became a sport there was one division for everyone where women were welcomed, could freely join, had the same training opportunities in their youth and just simply weren't as good. Women's division became a thing before the very first woman ever stepped into any men's competition. Vera Menchik, the first women's world champion, could do that only after she was recognized as the best among women. Women used to not be allowed to play in men's tournaments and even though what used to be a men's section is now called open and women can join as well, everyone - including most women themselves - does believe women are inherently worse and they just simply never join the open classification. You cannot become one of the best if you don't believe you can and don't aim to. It's largely parents and coaches' fault - had they not put girls into a separate section, those girls wouldn't spend their most formative years on trying to become just the best among girls. And those years are crucial if you want to become a top player - if you waste them, there's no way back. Hope that helps.
