I once had an idea for a Paras split-evo. Hypothetically, Paras learns a Psychic-type move based around willpower, like 12 levels after it would normally evolve into Parasect. Level up while knowing this move, and Paras becomes a Bug/Psychic type who takes over the mushroom instead of the other way around, using sheer force of will. Because trying to resist evolution, resist the parasites on your back, for twelve whole levels, that takes serious willpower. Or an everstone.

I had an inkling of a theory when looking at that second image with the hexadecimal codes and the big numbers. I'll try to explain as best as I can. Each code is meant to be paired with the number that's closest to it, of course. Instead of looking at the big numbers as generations, we could try taking a letter from the corresponding Pokémon's name instead based on the number itself. 30 - 2? = Venonat. The second letter would be E. 9A - 3? = Meganium. The third letter would be G E2 and 3C - 4? = Mantike/Poliwag. The fourth letters would be T and I 73 and A5 - 5? = Kangaskahn/Ledyba. The fifth letters would be A and B EGTIAB. When unscrambled, it gives us "Gabite". It could also tie into that convoluted mess of a hint that was given to us earlier, with Garchomp being circled. Going further, maybe (one of) the pseudo-lengedary(ies) of the game is a regional variant Garchomp OR a new Gabite evolution. I'm not 100% convinced on this mainly because the solution feels very arbitrary still. But it's interesting at the very least. If more hints are given, it could either disprove or further confirm this speculation.

This makes me less certain about it being Gabite because that same batch of info talked about a mouse Pokémon as well getting a regional variant based off of the Spanish tooth fairy or smth like that.

@@RoseyPixels Tbh I don't think the Uncle's credible, I feel like Tauros is such a safe bet for a Spain region; anyone could guess it and have a high chance of being right or close enough. Also I feel like a form for Dendene or any other Pikachu clone isn't very likely to happen because every region already has the pikachu clone, I'm not sure if they'd make a new clone and also revisit an old one in the same game. I feel like your Gabite theory is more accurate because it came from Khu and it also lines up with the use of Garchomp in April's riddle. For now I believe Gabite/Garchomp and Tauros/Miltank/Bouffalant are the best bets; if not them then Venonat,Meganium,etc was right the first time 🤷‍♀️

In the scarlet and violet trailer we see a fountain with a statue of a dratini so I don’t think we’re getting a regional dratini but the rest of the line could get a regional form like how in legends arceus goomy is the same but sliggoo and goodra have hisuian forms.

Not necessarily. Sometimes, regional forms are just differing evolutions, like Marowak. Dragonite is still on the table for a regional form, even if its unlikely.

If they were going to add a third type, I'd imagine it would be a temporary third type that gets rid of the Pokemon's original typing. Like, for example, say you can equip Charizard with a stone that can temporarily get rid of its Fire/Flying type and make it a pure Water type. Otherwise it'd probably get too confusing trying to figure out what's effective against a Pokemon with three types.

I'm thinking it could be similar to Calyrex having two abilities edit: it could also be through an ability that adds a typing based on certain factors. For example, it could gain and extra typing based on what weather is in play, what terrain is in play or what type the opposing pokemon is weak to.

As TTar said honestly it is a bit complex for a pokemon game but Tbh If it works similar to this, I wonder if in gaining a new type, a pokemon can also temporarily access a move of said type, i guess similar to your example of Z crystals? And yeah Id think that single typed mons may have a higher chance of being compatible of getting new forms and such with this new gimmick probably. Its honestly a strange thing to think about in theory/practice but definitely worth theorizing on more until we get more news

People are over complicating the 3 types thing, so let me explain it: They'd probably work similar to the plates that arceus and silvally use, where adding them outside of battle, applies the typing. Say your pokemon is fire/flying, so you add a water plate to them. It'll automatically make your pokemon fire/flying/water. Most people think this will be too confusing to figure out in the battle scene, but fail to realize that our moves, as of gen 7, now say "no effect, not effective, normal, super effective". Obviously, when the 3 types are changed, the moves you have will say if it'll be effective or not. This isn't busted, but will instead add a bit of surprise to the battle scene, and give viability to practically all pokemon, similar to Z-moves and dynamax

6:15 If you take these 6 numbers and average them, you get the number 128, which is the National Pokedex number for Tauros. I'm not saying that this is the answer to Riddler Khu's second puzzle, however it is most likely due to the region in Scarlet & Violet being based on Spain and Portugal. Areas of the world where bullfighting is very popular.

So after giving it like no thought, I got the idea of the bull picture being about dodrio. There are three heads, and dodrio is pretty aggressive, so it could kind of make sense that they could have something similar to bullfighting but with a regional dodrio. Now I don't know why they would adapt bullfighting and not use the bull pokemon, but I guess it would be a bit more creative and less obvious.

An interesting idea I've regarding this type changing gimmick is that there's an inherent hidden type within all Pokémon and the hidden types are the types that they'd most likely have if they didn't've the current secondary type combo or gained a secondary type as a mono type. With the crystal of whatever, you can use it to change their form mid-battle. For example, if Charizard was given that crystal, then he could change from his Fire/Flying type into a Fire/Dragon type instead and if a mono type user turned into a different type, then the second type would just fit alongside the current type and help it. For example, if Golduck ever used it, then it would turn into a Water/Psychic type instead. And there can be one hidden type in all, meaning you can't change your type into literally any type combo you want and it only changes the secondary type and not the primary type. That's how I'd design it, at least. Took me a long time to make something that's fairly balanced while also affecting battles in an impactful way. If The Pokémon Company are planning to add gimmick forms as well, then it could be possible that if you change some Pokémon's type, then your Pokémon's stats changes completely and moves to other stats but the stat total is not increased a single point. For example, if there were hypothetically a gargoyle Pokémon and if it had the gimmick form, then it could either stay on the ground and deal lots of damage with its Rock/Fighting type and high attack and defenses with mediocre speed or you can make it fly and deal lots of damage from above with its Rock/Flying type and high attack, speed and mediocre defenses.

Pre evolutions are cute and good when it’s evolution is something you’d usually get later in the game, so you can now catch the baby Pokémon early and use it throughout a whole game But if they JUST add a baby it’s kinda dissapointing and feels pointless, when they get a baby and an evolution that’s the best thing

@@MrKaseiyo NO the only dragon style they should add are of Game of Thrones dragons. They are the only ones that are anatomically accurate with wing, leg, and chest proportions. Example: dragons have no forearms. Example two: they just need bigger wings. I won’t get into the exact science but Noivern is the closest to correct we have so far, it just needs a bigger chest. So we need one of these kinds of dragons in Pokémon. Seriously. SOOO very sorry about the rant, I promise I’m not a mean person. If you use the Hex numbers and relate them (in order) to the pokemon who have not had any regional forms, megas, etc., you get Mew (48th Pokémon), Ledian (60th Pokémon), Seedot (115th Pokémon), Flygon (154th Pokémon), Baltoy (165th Pokémon) and Drifloon (226th Pokmeon; If you count the original 3 Regis, otherwise it's Shellos)

We’ve technically already had Pokemon with a third type. If you look at the movies “Trick-or-Treat” and “Forest’s Curse” that add Ghost or Grass typing to the target respectively, you can have Pokemon with a third type. So, having a third typing isn’t too complicated. It might require a little more thinking to keep track of things, but it’s not impossible.

The big idea with the paras/parasect would be to make them have no mushroom attached controlling them for a regional variant; or have the mushroom take over some other bug type.

So, the grey numbers on the second one may be hexadecimal colors and not just hexadecimal by itself, 9A30A5 is a purple color and E23C73 is a red color, which yes does tie in with Scarlet and Violet (a red color and a purple color), but could also signify the types of the variant being Poison/Fire or Poison/Fighting (whichever type is more often associated with the color red) and that it's a gen 2-5 Pokemon, or perhaps it's telling us to look at all the poison and fighting or fire types from gens 2-5 and one or possibly more of those may be getting a regional form. I'd also try and see if maybe it's something where the ones around the larger number signify the type to look for in that gen, in other words something like this: •Gen 2: 9A30A5 (Purple (Poison)) •Gen 3: E29A30 (Orange (Fighting?)) •Gen 4: 733CE2 (Bluish-Purple or Purpleish-Blue (Psychic?)) •Gen 5: A5733C (sort of a Brownish color (Ground)) It could also be the reverse of those (since that's them being read clockwise), or perhaps have some other way of arranging them like that. It's also possible that I'm just completely wrong with this sort of solve, but it does seem like something to check out and stuff.

The regional form of Paras and Parasect shouldn’t have the mushrooms. Paras is almost the same except with bug wings where the mushrooms normally are. Parasect gets longer legs, large wings and bigger claws. get a third form that is a dragon fly like Pokémon who has the Dragon Bug typing.

I rather have it be that, but the Japanese logo for the games indicate there is something new... albeit it looks like a Sticky Barb or Max Revive, so who knows. April: The 2 box legendaries are based off a Bull & Buffalo. The third legendary that connects them is based on a Cow. Let's go into detail about what 3 types would do, but first just to put things in perspective: We all know how types generally work, one type beats another, some don't. We've had it hammered into us for years by now, it's not really a rocket science once you understand and remember. Here's the science of it all at its core: The type a Pokémon has is: -It's main offense, boosting all attacks it has that share its type(s). -it's defenses, whatever type(s) it has determining its weaknesses and strengths. -it's support, with the combination of the first two points in conjunction with any potential item, move, or ability it may have and their effects, should they be affected by the Type(s). These are the important essentials to understanding what a type means. 2 types is one extra layer to these fundamentals, with more offenses, defenses, and potential weaknesses, but whether it helps the Pokémon or slows it down is dependent on other aspects like it's item, ability, and more to consider. Your types you carry on your team of Pokemon, alongside other factors, is essential to understanding your own strengths against others and flaws you'd want to cover. A *3rd* type is the same as what I said with 2 types. Another layer of things to consider, moves boosted, weaknesses gained or covered, and more. It's not as extravagant as Mega Evos and other things, but the effects this could have wouldn't just be changing the game, it would be flipping the entire game table. People spend a lot of time considering themselves and their opponents teams, studying Pokémon and common patterns. A 3rd type, especially one that activates Mega Evo style, would throw a wrench into everything you'd have to consider. It's a Joker card, and the crazy fact is, this is *very* possible for GameFreak to create. Forget whether this is a leak or not, hell is about to be raised and what happens next is something we can't begin to understand.
