"ROMMEL-YÓU BEAUTIFUL S.O.B.!!!"😂 great man and father . He prevented his son to join the SS-what Manfred was drawn to in '43/'44- and stay with his FLAK Abteilung-not in the least to spare his life and was very much in love with his-may I say hòt-wife. He mùst have been because he skipped D-Day to bring her her favorite shoes. If that ain't love and respect😂 And didn't get actively involved with Valkyrie....which testifies to his old fashioned military mentaliteit of NOT getting invloed with politics. In other words -He was a true and sound soldier.

Rommel is still in the tanks of today, in Iraq there was a few that had portraits of Rommel in their tanks and it was for very good reasons. Awesome tactical, offensive and defensive maneuvers and much, much more. Any tanker or command structure that doesn't respect and use tactics from Rommel or G.S. Patton is clueless and will be roasted in their tanks. Great day and God bless, I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy your evening.

ROMMELL IS EXTREMELY UNDERRATED AS A GENERAL; MUCH BETTER THAN PATTON IN MY OPINION. HE HAD THE GREAT FORTUNE TO HAVE SERVED ON ALL FRONTS DURING WW1; THE GENERAL STAFF HAD RECOGNIZED HIS BRILLIANCE AS A LIEUTENANT AND WERE GROOMING HIM FOR A TOP SLOT. HE STARTED OUT ON THE WESTERN FRONT FIGHTING AGAINST THE FRENCH AND BRITISH, WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE EASTERN FRONT WHERE HE FOUGHT AGAINST THE RUSSIANS, HE THEN WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS AND FOUGHT AGAINST THE ROMAINIANS, THEN TRANSFERRED TO THE ALPS WHERE HE PARTICIPATED IN THE 7TH BATTLE OF THE IZONZO, THEN TRANSFERRED BACK TO THE WESTERN FRONT WHERE HE FINISHED THE WAR FIGHTING AGAINST THE AMERICANS, FRWNCH AND BRITISH. THIS GAVE HIM UNPARALLELED EXPERIENCE THAT PATTON DID NOT HAVE (HE SPENT 1916 LOOKING FOR PANCHO VILLA.

Patton had a lot of blunders and even sacrificed a large number of his men just for nepotism. I only like him for what he admitted post war which ultimately led to his death.

Rommel has ability to conquer all north africa and middle east with logistic and support ofdcourse.. He has to be fall back due to sickness and british cut off supply ships. Patton was badass general but he had all kind of resources. Everybody can be a good general with enough resources, logictics and air support. Germany lost factories and lack of resources aaand bad logistic conditions. This was their problem.

@@Legion_YT_ AGREED; IN MY OPINION, THE REASON THE RUSSIANS DID NOT REACH BERLIN UNTIL APRIL 1945 WAS BECAUSE OF VON MANSTEIN AND MODEL. IF NOT FOR THESE 2 MEN, THE RUSSIANS WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IN EARLY 1943. "WE WERE OUTNUMBERED; WE WERE OUTGUNNED, BUT WE WERE NEVER OUTMANNED. ERICH VON MANSTEIN "LOST VICTORIES"

He in the Hitler youth before,,, But my Father told me that he saw many people get killed and lost Friends it's war and not a game you really want to play. But Dad was lucky enough to get out by barge to Denmark and the American soldiers let them surrender to them. But luckily he made it. But it's no joke in a war.🇩🇪⚔️🔥 And RIP To all the men who lost their lives..The video was great to watch.

My grandfather was a sergeant major in the seventh division assigned to it in thirty eight or thirty nine. He told me that they were garrisoned outside of Warsaw for the winter of thirty nine, forty. Then in the spring of forty they received their orders and three days later they were fighting in the Arden. He didn't talk much about Russia I guess wounded twice and getting pulled off the line weighing 98 pounds will do that to you. After that he transferred to Italy where he surrendered at the end of the war. When the Americans found out who and where he was they hired him to train their troops for three years. He didn't get home until 1948. Beyond brutal.

Very nice and interesting history, please let the video come soon . That was a great summary of the Division and what they did and by the time it was too late by the time they were sent to the Army Group South. The man in charge bungled the plans , supplies, and tactics before the winter of '42. Can't have a Army and vehicles not ready for winter and expect them to much in -60°F conditions. I have been frostbitten and it will kill you or at the least take your limbs off if not taken care of immediately. Once you get it you can get it easier every time. Enjoy your evening and weekend.

hard to believe germany started the war with those terrible tanks
@daveweiss5647
@daveweiss5647 7 ай бұрын
Basically everyone they fought had more and better tanks than them up until they built the Panthers... it was their tactics/leadership and communications that gave them the edge, for instance the French did not even have radios in their tanks, so even though they had more tanks and their tanks were better the Germans literally ran circles around them.

@daveweiss5647
@daveweiss5647 7 ай бұрын
@borderman96 true, people forget (or never learned/were lied about) both the Czechs and Poles were committing genocide against the German minorities in their countries, Then France and UK declared war on Germany, with France actually invading Germany First and the UK trying to occupy Norway when Germany had to intervene... people also forget that the USSR invaded/ Brutally occupied 7 nations in this time period and was preparing to Invade and occupy Romania which was the Germans only source of oil and would have put Germany (and by extention all of mainland Europe) at the mercy of a murderous Communist dictatorship that was in the midst of multiple massacres and genocides which slaughtered approximately 30 million innocent people... people are also unaware that the US Navy had been hunting German U boats for years as well as almost single handedly keeping the USSR in the war via massive amounts of military aid (although this one was still an incredibly stupid declaration of war regardless considering that even after Pearl Harbor the vast majority of Americans still didn't want war with Germany) people are woefully mis/disinformation about WWII. They believe it was a psycho wildly trying to conquor the world, there are actually, rational and in some cases valid reasons for the majority of the invasions... In fact during this time most European countries were attacking and taking land from each other, including, Poland, Hungary. Bulgaria, USSR, etc. As well as many other nations occupying and oppressing regions of other countries like Czechia, France, etc... The entire situation was a mess and for the majority of mainland European countries as well as many other nations around the world Germany was considered to have been either the good guys or the lesser of two evils- Finland, Romania, Thailand, Bulgaria, Iraq, Croatia, Slovakia, Italy, Yugoslavia (until a British coup), Hungary, Vichy France, Spain, etc. All fought on their side- Many Neutral Nations like Sweden, Iran, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, etc. Secretly supported them- they even had surprisingly high support from some of the civilians of nations they invaded, including hundreds of thousands of military volunteers... I am not saying they were "good guys" but the current understanding of the war is very simplistic and far from accurate.

@@daveweiss5647 Thanks for sharing the info, wanted to add that the reason Iran had good relations with germany at the time was mostly because of their hatred toward russia and UK (for various reasons including their occupation of iran during ww1 and causing the huge famine of 1917-1919 which not many people know about, even though iran was neutral in ww1, and the wars that took place between russia and iran during qajar dynasty which casued iran to lose lots of land to them). germany was favored in iran because they were the enemies of UK and USSR and iranians saw them as their friend against allies and their hope of freedom from them
@daveweiss5647
@daveweiss5647 7 ай бұрын
@@masterbowler6454 yes, absolutely true... many Nations supported Germany for similar reasons, UK, France and Russia/USSR were all agressive imperial powers that smaller nations needed protection from... which makes it extremely ironic that they accused germany of trying to "conquor the world" for essentially attacking nations on their borders to protect the German population in them which was being oppressed, UK and USSR had already conquored half the world and claimed they were fighting against someone... for trying to conquor the world...
