Y'know, something just occurred to me. Sonic told Tails he'd "find a way" so that the two of them could finish the unnamed movie. Did that mean that it was a rental and he had to return it or something? Did they have a busy schedule the next day? I ask because, if they own it via DVD or streaming or something, it wouldn't make much sense for Sonic to foresee difficulties with the prospect of finishing the movie. Am I looking too deep into this? Absolutely. Do I still crave an answer? Yes.

I had to delete and repost my original comment, because it kept having off-topic and unimportant replies. This kind of reminds me of when I was scared of loud noises. As a child, I was rather…terrified of sudden loud sounds, especially thunder. I’m over that now, but whenever it happened at night, I always needed comfort from my Mother. One time, she couldn’t hear me after I was calling her, so I had to leave bed and go find her; it was scary for me. Perhaps, in a way, being younger wasn’t as perfect as I thought. I know that now. Looking at this now, after seeing the Tails that bond part 2, I think this explains now why Sonic kisses Tails goodnight from now on. He wasn’t the kissing type of guy at first until Tails expressed how he missed when his parents would always kiss him goodnight before they died. So now that made me see this differently. Which is a good thing that we get to explore the roots in the Tails that Bond that takes place before all these events.

Although the concept sounds intriguing, I'd argue that Sonic would most likely go by himself or use something like Doordash to acquire food. After Tails' anxious breakdown in The Tails that Bond 3, I find it unlikely that Sonic would bring Tails to a grocery store so soon, especially since Tails is still afraid of other people judging him.
