"The Best Night Ever" is one of my favorite season finales in this series, all of the antics and shenanigans that the Mane 6 get into while trying to liven up the gala is always hilarious and of course the songs "At The Gala" and "The Pony Pokey" are still considered to be two of season 1's most memorable songs to this day! Hell two of my favorite parts of the season 1 finale is when Fluttershy does an evil laugh and when she yells "You're going to love me." Anyway, I look forward to your season 2 reactions.

Wonderbolts will be shown more in later seasons and I actually love episodes with them because they'll be shown more complex than just good or just assholish. It makes it look idk more realistic, that they are individuals too, not just some idols who can never be in the wrong, and Rainbow gets to learn that. As for the song Number vs pinkies song, they are different types of songs used in storytelling. One is non-diegetic which is a song characters sing that expresses inner thoughts/dialogue that only the audience hears. Diegetic is the opposite where anyone in the universe can hear it. Its like thinking vs speaking.

Made it to the finale and finished the first season, I applaud you! This is episode is one that I’d watch numerous times. I enjoy the references to Disney, like the Cinderella carriage, glass slipper from Rarity, Celestia flying over Canterlot with a sparkly trail that symbolizes the Disney logo, etc. Also, the song(“At the Gala”) is one of my favorites from the season. The story is very entertaining as well, seeing the Mane 6 try to make their night at the gala special and everything goes downhill. Such a fun episode in my overall opinion.😄
