wrong - you still need baseline grip, good lat strength and dynamic hips to complete this beautiful movement, so its super explosive

There are neurological benefits to learning the glide kip in addition to also learning the bar muscle-up. Gymnasts have used the glide kip for decades, and is a very efficient movement. There is value in learning skills that exist outside of traditional CrossFit standards.
