I think what's even more insane is the standard of precision that modern skateboarders have. You could see what appears to be the perfect execution of a gnarly trick. If they feel something was a bit off they go at it until every motion and detail of the trick is immaculate. Truly an art form.

I used to be a professional skate filmer back in the day and I've filmed a lot of handrail stuff with the death lens and I completely agree with you. Sometimes I'm not even sure what the trip was for sure until I see the long lens version. I honestly think filming has gotten worse over the last few years.
