Been a long time coming. I finally found some time to push back all of the overgrowth on the river property. The CAT 308 and Prinoth Forestry Mulcher did a great job. The CAT 259D and Blue Diamond Extreme Duty Brushcutter came in for backup and dressed it all up…

Those new 'pressure relief valve on the new machines appears to be fantastic. I cannot count the number of times I've had to do just what you did, to relieve pressure. It would be nice to simply pull that little button on the new valves.

Hi Sam, You’ve got the Goat working, Looks like it handled the vines real well too 👍🏻. I’d like to compliment you on the Camera usage, You mix the Drone footage in with the different camera angles just right , I know that is a lot of editing but it sure makes for a nice video.! I do the same on the Hydraulic lines, Our Cat had a Aux button in it somewhere (10 yrs ago 🤦🏼‍♂️) and it was a struggle if you don’t remember to punch that before you unhook ..I’ve read in the other comments too, We do this now before we unhook it does solve the issue. Keep up the Good Work My Friend.! Thank You for the Message, There is Hope for all who Believe 🙏 Take Care & Be Safe !!

Thanks Evert. I was pleased how it handled the vines, wasn't really a problem. I appreciate the feedback on the editing. I enjoy editing the videos to mix up the camera shots. It takes about 3 to 5 hours to edit one 30 minute video. I've heard folks mention it before unhooking also. I just forget to do it 🙄. Hope in Christ is all we have because hope in this world is a dead end street, literally!

What a magnificent river. Are you allowed to irrigate from it? In Oz you have to pay for every drop of water that you take from the river system. Afriend of ours had a beautiful waterhole that never dried up as it was fed by an underground spring. When the government found out he was watering his crops with it they put a meter on his pump and made him pay for HIS OWN WATER. That was a beautiful job, so tidy, and the view from the other side of the river looked wonderful,so open. I just love that Goat. I`ve had a lazy day watching all these videos,it`s so hot that I had to put the air con on. Thank for today`s message.

This is designated as a senic river by the state, very protected. From the bridge you see in the video all the way up to the power house, where TVA generates power, you can't irrigate or build docks etc... But below that bridge you can. I was just reading last night that the state owns all the rights to waters in the state. And if I read it right even the rain. I really like the 🐐 too. It did a great job cleaning up the river bank. Glad you enjoyed the message...

We do that same trick with the hydraulic couplers. We have found that doing that before unhooking the implements really helps with hoping back up. We struggle with that mostly when using a breaker. Breakers will hold the pressure inside them and then we will have to bleed the end of the breaker hose by taking one end off. It’s a real pain. But we haven’t had to do that in a while. I’m watching your vid while loading one I made of last night and todays power struggles. Great video and great message. Thanks and keep it up!!
@tristardiggin
@tristardiggin Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I sure was glad to learn that trick too. I think I will get one of those grip tools that pull the couplers together. Looking forward to watching your video. I've had to break lines loose too, not fun. I've told a few folks about the track bars and plan to make some. We'll, at least I'm going to try. 😆

Hey when you’re operating near that river bank the way you are in that skid steer. You need to make sure you keep one or both of your side windows cracked open a bit because if you slide forward into the river and it’s a steep shelf along the river bank and it’s real deep you won’t be able to get that front door open just like when a car goes into the water. Just a friendly public service announcement🙂👍
@tristardiggin
@tristardiggin Жыл бұрын
Thanks! That is a good idea. Fortunately in this area it's around 3' to 4' along the bank. When the river isn't used for generating power or lowering the lakes you can actually walk all the way accross. Great trout fishing too...

Mulcher did a great job. Does it through much debris back on the cab? I'm wanting to get one for my excavator. Can't decide whether to get a mulcher or a rotary cutter. I have a mulcher and a rotary cutter for my skid steer.

Now that's a hard question 🤔. I suppose the mulcher because it's able to grind up the material and leave a better finish. They both have their place and go well working together...
@LifeWithChase

That cleaned up nice. Just curious, did you research or run across flail mowers for excavators during your mulcher research? I ran across a video of a flail mower made by Eterra. Supposed to cut anything from grass up to 6" diameter brush. I didn't realize a flail mower would cut that big of material. Looked pretty effective and faster in smaller diameter brush like you were cutting. I guess it fits the bill in between a rotary cutter and a mulcher...
@tristardiggin

That's interesting, didn't know it would cut that kind of material. Mostly just see them in cities mowing medians. Sounds like it would work good on this kind of stuff.

I have a suggestion for you. What about spinning off another channel to speak to your message segment at the end? You could provide a handy card for those of us that want to hear the word and whatever extra tid-bits you throw in. All while avoiding alienating someone who just wants to see the work you do. And multiplying your views overall between the two channels. I think it would be a win-win for views. An old friend of mine who grew up in an old school service station said never discuss politics or religion at work. One channel for the work and one channel for the word (or just extra stuff like diggin life deeper does). Just a suggestion, I'll enjoy your stuff anyway you send it.
@tristardiggin
@tristardiggin Жыл бұрын
Well, I'm glad you asked about that. I do have another channel that I spun off just for that. It is 100% Bible messages. The name of it is "Diggin' The Word". The main purpose of the short messages at the end of my videos is to get the Gospel in front of folks who may not hear it any other way. I hope to make videos that draw folks to watch in order to get a message to them at the end. The purpose of the other channel is to offer more to folks who want more. So, thank you very much and I appreciate the encouragement. God Bless...
