Bittersweet news... Bungie removed sunsetting but the damage has already been done to most of us. In desperation of precious vault space, we dismantled those once highly coveted sunset god rolls to make room for the next generation of god rolls. Some of us, however, didn't give in and have some gold remaining in our vaults.

Regarding that Hoosegow @ 30:55 , The Black Armory weapons had a chance to roll that specific shader and people hunted that shader like crazy back in the day. That's likely the only reason that weapon was kept aside from the goofy roll.

I have all the Leviathan Weapons with each element. If you pull from collections, you can only pull them in one element. In Year 1 we could make them whatever element we wanted.

I had a Galliard too! Black Armoury refurbished. Tap the Trigger and Kill Clip, and a short/medium/far sight/scope where the latter two put a red outline on enemies. I really wish I never deleted it cause it was a beast in PvP right before the Gnawing Hunger meta kicked off

I think this was a good decision. We’ve powercrept pretty much all of our old gear and what we haven’t gone past got nerfed. The only thing leaving all these guns sunset will do is raise the barrier to entry for returning players to see how destiny all plays out. But there isn’t much here that really has me saying “oh no that is something I should’ve kept because nothing else is as good as it”

@@hectorrivera4005 sunridsing improves game numbers, makes it easier to find teams for old content, and makes it more likely we'll find regular teams to run with. When was the last time you had a dedicated fireteam? For me it was 2018. You're just too used to only hearing bad news. Osteo and immortal are doing things OG recluse could never dream up because we've massively power crept our old gear. All this does is help old vanilla players get better gear and special weapons without needing to grind from nothing.

I have DIM open and I'm looking at all the rolls you're mentioning here. I have almost every single gun and roll in this video. I've been 599/600 most of the time but my patience and hoarding finally paid off. It's been very hard and my postmaster and other Guardians act as storage units until I need to use them for activities, but I'm glad I didn't delete all my stuff because some streamer told me to. I can't imagine spending thousands of hours in this game, obtaining all this cool stuff over the years and just deleting it. You'd have nothing to show for all of your time spent.

I still have a copy of the original Rose from the Lumina quest and it's still in my top 5 hand cannons. The problem are the exotic weapons and the exotic pieces of armor. They are all clumped together and by the time you realize, your vault has like 380-400 exotic items, them you add legendary armor pieces from dungeons and raids and you skyrocket to 530-550 and then you only have like 50 slots for legendary weapons, many of them being craftable. 100 extra slots won't really fix the problem, although it's going to alleviate it for sure. With the new raid and the new class, I assume there will be weapons rolling with that multicast elemental class.

This is the last time I’m going to say this so please everyone listen. In the current sandbox a kill clip tatara gaze can no longer 1 body. Secondly, in the current sandbox, kindled Orchid cannot 2 tap with 1 stack of rampage and kc. You would need TWO stacks for rampage and KC procced, whereas if you just used magnificent howl on the brave lunas or not forgotten you could 2 tap just by getting 2 kills period, you don’t even have to worry about a timer. None of these sunset guns are good anymore. Adept found verdict is better in every way to mind benders, not to mention QD doesn’t improve handling anymore just the actual draw speed, so adsing and anything else handling related will feel awful. Marty’s retribution never had a good roll. Liminal vigil is better in every way than breechlight. Rufus is better than steelfeather. Duke was only good cause of kill clip, and again, in the current meta kill clip is not enough to two tap even with a 120 so Duke won’t be good either. Not to mention PI is practically required on 120s now so igneous is the only real option. Fracethyst is better than dust rock, and as for revoker, not forgotten, randys throwing knife etc, you can just pull those all from collections if you EVER owned them, OR, buy them from the legacy kiosk in the tower of you NEVER had them. Everyone, calm down, all sunset guns are worse than current guns.

9:00 I just kinda hope we get into the light and 30th anniversary style stuff before expansion more. I understand quantity wise would be unsustainable, but mainly that it brings old stuff back with a few quests tied to fan favorite things.

Miss my bygones with opening shot and headseeker. I also miss when the rapid fire hgls were aggressive frame and had the same damage as adaptive gls but fired faster

I didn’t keep too much old stuff, just the most sentimental things. I kept my Lone Survivor pve roll and I’m so stoked I kept it this long! It’s not anything crazy, but I just always loved it.

I just got back into Destiny 2 when PlayStation plus gave out Witchqueen and put a bunch of the dlc on sale, I went in and deleted everything that couldn't go over 1600 light.. I didn't have any god rolls but I had some good ones. I am thankful I kept my explosive payload Better Devils and my timed payload True Prophecy, they were my two favorite hand cannons.

I kept my Rampage Headseeker Bygones because I loved it in pvp, I loved it too much to just old yeller the gun. I'm so glad I did.

I kept all my Black Armory weopons. Kindled with rampage, kill clip. Ringing Nail- dragon fly/rampage. Tatara's Gaze - curated roll. Spitefal Fang- Curated. And also, my mfing GALLIARD-42 XN7568 with dynamic sway / kill clip

I think my favorite PvP gun I dismantled is something nobody else thought was a PvP gun. It was a Gahlran's Right Hand with nearly max range, Tap the Trigger, and Rangefinder. I don't know why, but I could out duel even my handcannon addicted jumpy hunter friends with it. For some reason it just worked for me, I couldn't miss a shot. Not saying I'm good at all, but I miss that gun.

I only have 2 sunset weapons in my vault that I enjoyed using in pvp. Steelfeather Repeater and Bygones (rangefinder/headseeker but I still love it)

Just make all the sunset weapons obtainable through collections with random rolls for people who have previously owned them. Don’t have updated rolls or origin perks, leave the guns just as they were so you can rng your way to your old god rolls. Hell, go ahead and add a special currency for it, let’s call it “motes of light” as a throw back to when you could reroll D1 weapons to get your perfect roll.

honestly, i just picked up that feeding frenzy and adren junkie rolled chroma rush from xur, that is another amazing rapid auto, speaking of i have kept a underpressure high impact reserve misfit for ages, never truely loved it, i just love the roll

I just deleted my dukes and better devils last week before the announcement, its always when i make a decision about something and bungie does something to make me regret it, i just hope both those handcanons come back because I loved their models, they felt smooth

The only sunset weapons I kept were the S9 weapons, my best roll of each, and the pity Mindbenders they gave us right before sunsetting. I can't wait to use my steelfeather again. Although I do hope we get the S9 weapons back in either the next season or the one after, since we just got the S8 weapons. Oop, watching further, I forgot one. Hazard of the Cast. I still use it to this day; I even ran it some in the last banana we had this season. 450s still put in work and I've never found one that feels better than that one.

Breach light is such a gut punch for me. I spent hours getting a demo + rampage roll, used it for 5000k kills then it got sunset. I deleted it last year because I was almost out of vault space, but my god, I would kill to have it back. I cannot explain how much I want a demo kinetic sidearm. Hopefully they bring it back and give it kinetic tremors or something, I could totally see them bringing it back in the first episode because it seems like it’s Vex themed.
