I drove for Interstate Motor Freight, Cooper Jarrett, MidWest Emery, and Eastern Freight Lines, back in the day. By 1979 most or all of these old companies were gone. The golden days were of these trucks and the personalities of the men and sometimes women who handled these rigs. Many of my memories in my old age are of two things, the US Army and trucking. I think it has to do with the friendships made during theses times. Thanks for this site.

Trucking has never been an easy job, and not even in the modern era. But it must have been hell, back in the day! Great show!

I can not comprehend how and where you continue to find so many unique photos of such a tremendously rich historical nature. Then to bring them to modern-life images through your colorization is just awesome! Thanks again for such an inspiring, uplifting trip down memory lane.

Excellent as always I remember seeing some of the pre B-model Mack’s when I was a kid. My Dad had a skinny nose A-model Mack 5-ton coal truck with side chutes before he bought his 62 Ford F-600 hi-lift coal truck

Keep up the good work these videos are great I lived in Wyoming for 10 years and being out west it was a common sight to see the Monford of Colorado trucks on a daily basis.

Me and Earl was hauling chickens on a flatbed out of Wiggins, and we spent all night on wolf Creek pass and look out below

The highway from Greely,CO to New York was called “the Montfort Lane”. Their PeterBuilts ran that run with swinging beef & lamb at 80/90+ speeds before log books became mandatory.

Yes it was the Monford Lane. And the Old man paid the tickets. Had a friend of mine that worked for him. And pulled a load for him from . From Colorado

I shoulda grew up in those days! Just now working gettin my CDL & never dreamed all trucks would be automatic or automated. I’m looking for a cab over to build for personal use and shows , not to work) What’s y’all favorite year can over please ? And Y?

Fun to look at but you can't imagine how badly they rode, and how quickly they wore out into a rolling pile of junk which still had to be driven by somebody... I guess I sound a little negative, so here's s positive- man, we've got it made today!
