I'm passing this video on to my daughter who has adored these women and the show since childhood. She got us matching Golden Girls mugs for Christmas. Late to the comments but this is my favorite show. Thanks for this tribute, Justin. While there are a handful of episodes I skip because I don't like the plot or a guest character, it's impossible to pick a favorite, though the episode in which Dorothy and Stan pretend to still be married during a visit from Uncle Angelo is up there. Hopefully people have a way to watch the original episodes (e.g., on DVD); the syndicated shows have been so chopped down (in order to cram in even more commercials) that I estimate around 35% of each episode has been deleted - including some of the best scenes/lines.

My absolute favourite episode was when Rose worked at a TV studio, and they needed two women who lived together to come in for an interview on live TV. Turned out it was a show about lesbians and because it was live, Blanche and Dorothy couldn't say anything. That acting in the scène where they sit on that couch hearing the show was about lesbians I almost died and peed my pants. 😂 Honest to God. I laughed SO hard I couldn't breathe. Just because we all know how Blanche is into every man, that plot twist made is super funny to me. 😂

My grandparents house in Orlando FL looks very similar to the Golden Girls home both inside and out and it is so lovely the back yard garden always reminded me of Fern Gully and the Pool area is much like a resort

Bea and betty remind me of cats and dogs. Both are great as individuals animals betty is the dog- kind always happy and out going like a dog and bea is quiet reversed and naturally introverted. Sure dogs and cats can live together but the cat still swot at the dog from time to time 😊

As a kid my nana would come over for the holidays and would always watch this. 20 years later whenever I see this show or hear the opening song it brings me back. And now I actually understand the jokes, such a great show and it has such a nostalgic effect

I'm so glad that someone else supports the idea, that the so-called "feud" between Bea Arthur and Betty White was grossly exaggerated out of proportion. The two were legends of television and it was a proven universal fact that Bea and Betty had incredible respect for each other's careers and how could they have worked so well for so long if there was a supposed "feud".

I love the GG and have watched the series over a few times.. at one point it was scary how I could impersonate all four of them online with the greatest of ease and especially make up new stories for rose’s character and you know how intricate her stories are, but watching this is just depressing me. I love going down memory lane, but am I the only one who feels depressed when I watch this? Lol

One of my favorite scenes is when Rose is telling Dorothy and Blanche about the Herring Circus; shooting a herring out of a cannon into a tree! It is so funny to me, because Rue and Bea are having a hard time not laughing themselves. Their chemistry was and still is unmatched.

Both concerning Estelle... The fact that she was one year younger than Bea Auther really tickles me - a lot! And off the set, no one would ever recognize her because she (are you ready for it?) looked so young! The second thing about Estelle was that she had Lewy body dementia, a much more aggressive form of dementia. Robin Williams also suffered from this horrible disease, and unfortunately was misdiagnosed as Parkinsons, making his life ubearable. However, it sounds like Estelle got the proper diagnosis and reseaved great hospice care in her lovely apartment. 😇🥰💕 ✝️🛐
