I've been lucky enough to have visited Golden Temple aka Harmandir Sahib quite a few times. Day, Night It is very different at different times. I particularly love it in the night when it is lit up. If you noticed as you come into the entrance (going downstairs) this is to show humility the illusion is as if the center complex of the temple floats upwards. An amazing place and a must at least once in your life for everyone. OMG All of you look absolutely gorgeous and elegant. Such a brilliant and balanced point of view about the Sikh Tradition and the Community. I have so much respect to you and your family - Lawrence & Co. you guys hit the jackpot fair n square. There are different types of tourists and for some India is the generic cinematic " Slum Dog Millionaire " .... snake charmers , The Taj and elephants. For some it's off to La La La Land.... in a mental psychedelic world.... where only their - "High" only matters ignoring the Beauty of the High Himalayan Ranges. Then there are people like your family who research and know their facts and are are interactive with the locals and also follow their recommendations. Plus do the level best to imbibe the culture, traditions and respect the host Nation. Immersed in a very holistic and realistic approach to the whole process of travel and adventure. Travel can be thousands of days to a particular place but still the experiences can be superficial. Travel to a place can be for a very limited time like in your case a month but because of various knowledge and wisdom enhancements to the whole process of travel... a short time of Holistic Travel can be more rewarding than a Gazillions of days of just superficial, " I in my in my little cocoon " type travel.... some people are never able to break out the stereotypical version of their knowledge and wisdom about a certain country. For some Just Reading the Cover of the book is enough. Some reach the " Table of Contents " and the Preface.... some eat up the whole Book in a literary sense and get engaged with what the author is trying to communicate.... All fingers are not the same.... This Beautiful Diversity is what we Humans are..... the multi faceted techni- coloured tapestry of Humanity - at the same time United in the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of the Human Race. ❤❤❤❤🙏🐰🌼🙏
