THE GOLDEN TEMPLE, AMRITSAR - We will never forget | Punjab | INDIA 🇮🇳
The Golden Temple will be an experience we will never forget. Amritsar, Punjab has been unbelievably welcoming to our family. The Sikh community has invited us in with open arms and we will never forget that. Our India travels have been memorable as whole but The Golden Temple has taken it to another level that we didn't know was possible. We thank you to the Sikh people for making us feel at home in your home here in India. Our last video, Lawrence & Nyh had their turban tied all the way through to visiting Wagah Border & Jallianwala Bagh it has been a magical experience. Again, we thank all the Sikh people we met on our journey. We will remember you forever! Waheguru 🖤🇮🇳

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

I've been lucky enough to have visited Golden Temple aka Harmandir Sahib quite a few times. Day, Night It is very different at different times. I particularly love it in the night when it is lit up. If you noticed as you come into the entrance (going downstairs) this is to show humility the illusion is as if the center complex of the temple floats upwards. An amazing place and a must at least once in your life for everyone. Great videos and a lovely couple who immersed yourselves in with this experience, you looked like a proper Sikh with the full beard! Will subscribe

when India was being invaded one after another by outsiders in ancient times it was the Punjab, now divided between India and Pakistan which took the most beating. because of bloodbaths one after the other gave birth to the warrior community called Sikh. they have saved millions of Indians specially women. they are a big reason that present day India not an Islamic country.

OMG All of you look absolutely gorgeous and elegant. Such a brilliant and balanced point of view about the Sikh Tradition and the Community. I have so much respect to you and your family - Lawrence & Co. you guys hit the jackpot fair n square. There are different types of tourists and for some India is the generic cinematic " Slum Dog Millionaire " .... snake charmers , The Taj and elephants. For some it's off to La La La Land.... in a mental psychedelic world.... where only their - "High" only matters ignoring the Beauty of the High Himalayan Ranges. Then there are people like your family who research and know their facts and are are interactive with the locals and also follow their recommendations. Plus do the level best to imbibe the culture, traditions and respect the host Nation. Immersed in a very holistic and realistic approach to the whole process of travel and adventure. Travel can be thousands of days to a particular place but still the experiences can be superficial. Travel to a place can be for a very limited time like in your case a month but because of various knowledge and wisdom enhancements to the whole process of travel... a short time of Holistic Travel can be more rewarding than a Gazillions of days of just superficial, " I in my in my little cocoon " type travel.... some people are never able to break out the stereotypical version of their knowledge and wisdom about a certain country. For some Just Reading the Cover of the book is enough. Some reach the " Table of Contents " and the Preface.... some eat up the whole Book in a literary sense and get engaged with what the author is trying to communicate.... All fingers are not the same.... This Beautiful Diversity is what we Humans are..... the multi faceted techni- coloured tapestry of Humanity - at the same time United in the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of the Human Race. ❤❤❤❤🙏🐰🌼🙏

Best time to visit golden temple is 3:45 AM as at about 4 AM There is a procession of entering Guru Granth Sahib ji ( holy scripture) into the main building and then you can wait and see the sunrise with its reflection in the water body and shiniest form of the Gold Plated Gurudwara.

Dharam does not gets translated to Religion. Religion is roughly equal to "path to the same and only God" Dharma gets translated to "what you ought to do"

Man I really love and appreciate how you research and understand the cultural contexts of the places and people everywhere you go. Also, the fact that you don't get offended by the hustlers approaching you is endearing. Honestly, it happens to most Indians as well(not as much as you since you're a foreigner), but most Indians wouldn't show as much patience or kindness you do. Bless you and your fam. Subscribed for life.

Suggestions: You can head off to kasi or Ujjain as these places are recently redeveloped with good tourist facilities. In South you should definitely visit rameshwaram, madras, Golden Laxmi Narayan temple of vellore or auroville(this is something really different) . In Mumbai, do visit kharghar navi mumbai . It is lush green with mountains and waterfalls...paradise for mumbaikars!

Subscribed , as you have shown real respect for darbar sahib not just physically but also tried to understand its spiritual significance. If you read history than you will know every inch of the place s drenched with blood of shaheeds ( martyr) 🙏🏻 so the holy spirits and blessings in the very air r overwhelming to absorb. Sadly Otherwise ppl hv just made it into a tourist place.
