Our Tribe of Many It’s hard enough getting old but to lose the ability to do what you did when you were younger and healthier is terrible. You always compare yourself with who you want swear and find yourself coming up short. Your family definitely makes me feel much younger even though I can’t do nearly anything that you do anymore your kids just energize us. I have been watching you for a year now and look forward to watching your kids grow up young healthyAnd loving. You have done such a great job I know it must be hard some days but you make it look so easy. See you when your next movie

Sarah you don't need to keep apologizing for the noise we understand and honestly I didn't think it was that bad. We do this all the time. We buy ten pounds at a time and brown, bag then freeze them. I separate them into 8 one pound bags and 1 two pound bag (reserved for cheap Korean beef ). I also do this with chicken breast. I freeze in one pound increments (whatever your family eats at a meal) and have easy meals I can toss together on a whim.
@jilliandent1256
@jilliandent1256 4 жыл бұрын
you can also put your meat into ziplock bags to freeze and add the marinade right then. Oil, garlic, herbs, black pepper - whatever and freeze it with the meat. My friend is a chef and passed that tip on. Also if you buy a bunch of green onions trim them and put them in a glass on a sunny window sill with just enough water to cover the roots. Change the water everyday, trim as needed . You can just snip off what you need each time and they keep growing for a long time

Maybe even a specific colour lid or container only to be used for leftovers. Followed by a family meeting to discuss and a reminder note on kitchen board. Also( (although may not be so practical space wise) what about a specific shelf in a specific fridge with a label on that shelf saying "this food is for another day now it's time to run and play"! Or something catchy like that...

For the “Oh no, y’all ate dinner!” Problem: get a basket from the dollar store. Label it: “Off-Limits Basket”. Let all the kids know that whatever goes in there is off-limits - it’s for upcoming dinners or whatever the case is. Everything else is fair game, but the Off-Limits Basket is untouchable! 😂 It May also help to keep it on a higher shelf of the fridge to keep safer from the littlest hands. 😊

Sarah, I made “egg roll in a bowl” for my lunch yesterday and it was so delicious! Something that may be great for a dinner or leftovers for lunch! So healthy too! No measurements but I’ll tell you what I did! Brown ground meat of choice, I used beef, but you could do turkey, chicken or pork. Once browned, drain out excess fat if there is any. Then season with ginger, garlic and liquid aminos (or soy sauce/coconut aminos). I had some Thai seasoning so I added that too. I then added coleslaw mix and a little bit of chicken stock (you can use water) to help soften the cabbage. Then I add some cauliflower rice that was cooked and drained to the beef/coleslaw mixture. Season with more salt and pepper. It’s so good!!

I would just label things w painters’ tape! This is what restaurants do- include what, how much of it and the date prepped and use or freeze within 4 days to keep things safe!

Love your videos, and you have definitely inspired me to try meal prepping. I've always planned my menus out because it is a lifesaver to already know what you are going to make and to have the items already purchased, but I love the idea of prepping for several meals at once! Love your videos and your kids are so cute! :)

You and Solo are amazing parents. I try to do meal prep but I don't always get around to it. I only have a family of 4 (with the kids at home)but my husband and I are extremely busy with our business and I try to help our oldest daughter with meals since she's battling lung cancer. Thanks for all of the ideas💕

I love the content of your channel Sarah. It's just me and hubby at home - but you still give great tips and advice for products, etc. And your family is just the best. Did you know you'll have one extra day in your pantry challenge? It's a leap year. :) Have a great day!

NEVER apologize for your children being their sweet, delightful selves in their own home. They are some of the best behaved, well mannered, joyful children I've ever seen & their playful & curious noises & questions are a natural part of life. If ANYONE watching has a problem with that, they are free to watch something else. Your videos are real life, inspiring and informational. Keep it up, girl!

When we bought meat every week, I would choose one kind of meat for the week & make my menu around that. I could buy a bulk package & save money/make it easier to choose meals. Now we have a freezer of cow, so its a bit different!

At one time, I had a world of men here at my house-My hubby, four sons, their friends, my ex lives next door, my brother lived here for a while, etc. Anyway, the best way I've found to label something I want to use later for a recipe or for a later dinner is to just write the word NO! on things with a Sharpie. If you put "saving this for dinner" and someone gets hungry near dinner time (say, if dinner is at 6, and they are hungry at 2, lol) they will look at that and think, "OH, I can have this for DINNER since it's so close to dinner time!" and eat it. Faster, easier, more productive to just write "NO!" on it in big bold letters.

Another great video! I would color code the prepped food with colored tape, then write in black marker DO NOT EAT. I can't decide which videos I love best, food, cooking, or kids. A little bit of all, but always enjoy seeing all the kids alot.They are all so precious!!!

You reminded me of a few needed ingredients (pantry and freezer depleted of those items) and added to my grocery delivery app. Thanks! I do similar meal planning themes too and sometimes not - but it is helpful.
