They're only "conservative" in the sense of conserving the political landscape to those who are "in the club" rather than necessarily being ideologically or socially conservative. I remember TIK doing an excellent video showing how they're just a bunch of elitists who hide behind patriotism and one person made an interesting comment about how they aren't even as economically liberal as they present themselves to be, for instance during the 19th century they were in favor of using regulatory capture to ensure only their buddies could be involved in real estate.

You still think you have a choice? They rigged it like they always do, except this time they bragged about it. No, they weren't "caught". They bragged. You're going to cheer as Trump is selected by the same people who selected Biden and decided he's stopped being useful. "If the people want a hero, we'll them one." Look up that quote. The source will surprise you.

Razor really needed to focus on Perot more in this rant. HW Bush was the statist/deepstate concession Reagan made to 'unite' the party behind his upset victory; HW Bush would rather see man like Clinton win than a man like Perot who was dedicated to breaking both their rice-bowls.

It's the same fight as it ever was: individualists laying claim to their inalienable rights must fight to pry them from the iron fist of the statists and collectivists. The sooner people realize both parties are, by definition, not on the individualist side, the better. And Taft was a weird duck. One of the rare cases of a political crony somehow _finding_ a backbone after getting into power rather than losing one. Maybe he just decided he couldn't stand anything being bigger than he was, and the limits of his own rotundity required shrinking the government.

It's by design, of course. State-run curriculum deliberately omits most negative results of policy that expands government power. Public schools never hold the flaws of men like Lincoln to account. A lot of the history I've learned was learned outside the classroom, and some of it has straight up contradicted things I'd been taught.

In _Fahrenheit 451,_ protagonist Guy's boss is Captain Beady, a man smart and perceptive enough to understand how and why the people and the systems they implicitly created and endorse are incorrigibly corrupt, but goes along with them anyway because he's become irrevocably black pilled. One ancillary detail is that there is an ongoing presidential election, which through Guy's useless wife Mildred and her equally worthless and contemptible girlfriends, is made clear that the blithering plebs, especially women, don't know crap about either candidate, and are instead fixated on their superficial qualities. Beady later casually tells Guy that there aren't two primary political parties in the United States, they're one party that pretends to be two. They pretend to be at odds and fight for different values, but in actually they support the exact same corrupt things. Their facade to be conflicting parties is to give the hopelessly stupid and willfully ignorant public the illusion of choice with their votes. It doesn't matter which party is in power, because they're all completely bribed and bought by globalist banking cartels, ensuring nothing will ever change for the better. _Fahrenheit 451_ was written in *1953.*

For perspective on how contemptible Roosevelt was, Taft was willing to compromise with Roosevelt by nominating Governor of Missouri Herbert Hadley at the 1912 Republican National Convention - Hadley being ideologically in-between the two men. Teddy said no, lost the nomination to Taft, then ran 3rd party, splitting the vote between him and Taft so Wilson would win.

For whatever reason the electorates in both countries are having an awakening to their respective uni-parties. Curious isn’t it.
