My brother and I go at each other with constant non-stop making fun of each other but if someone not part of the “group” goes after either one of us in the same manner, then we defend each other to the end. You’d think we don’t like each other as much as we are constantly picking on each other but it’s quite the opposite. And the same goes for our close friends. And we are in our 50’s also. In the end, these three are brothers!

There was the Top Gear episode where James hit his head on a rock (suffered a concussion), Richard’s horrific jet vehicle accident (he had to re-learn speech/walking, etc., and Jezza’s severe case of pneumonia. They care about each other very much.

in old top gear it usually used to be hammond and may trying to beat clarkson in their weird races. the polar special was one of the rare occassions where clarkson and may were against hamond. probably because he was the youngest and the old farts would not have survived the time in the cold on the sleds.

In theory, Jeremy would have the best bet for getting away with it, but like Hammond said, with how Jeremy is he probably wouldn't even try to hide it and would do it on live television or something. They also did during the caravan challenge. They both slept in sleeping bags on a large mattress and Hammond was distressed by James saying the sound of the train outside was “romantic”. Perhaps the experiences were so traumatic James forgot about them.

Perhaps they didn't actually spend the night in the caravan in reality. Perhaps they would just film them in there as if they were sharing beds, but then, they would be off to a comfy hotel for the night, and back to the caravan for the shoot next morning.

As much as I like these videos, their chemistry is how well they interact with eachother. Isolating them like this is a big miss and almost boring. Letting them discuss the answers together would be hilarious!
