Honestly, I'm really-really glad that you liked this show. In fact, Bocchi is like my 2nd favorite anime and Frieren is 3rd, so I'm really happy we have similar taste I guess. My absolute favorite is Re:zero though... But it can wait, hehe. Re:zero is getting the 3rd season this fall and deep down inside I dream about you catching up to it. After all, it does have gore, violence and one of the best character developments I've seen. So yep, I hope you have it somewhere in your plans. Thank you again for uploading these vids, it was really fun re-watching this show with you!

The crew that put this anime together had a really interesting way to work; anyone in any role with any idea on how to creatively express some aspect of the show was encouraged to bring it to the team, no matter how crazy / unusual. They (the entire staff top to bottom) have ideas boiled in to details and methods of storytelling in this anime, and it is brilliant. There are thousands of tiny wonderful details for anyone who wants to dig in, and for those who don't it just makes this so fantastically cohesive. I like to read, not really a huge an anime fan. But I also trade with friends, i'll watch a favorite anime of theirs if they read a favorite book of mine, it actually works out well. This one was a trade for me, and I Adored it. Another two that surprised me how much I loved them were "My Dress Up Darling" and "Kaguya Sama Love is War". Both surpassed any expectation (which wasnt hard) and became favorites of any type of storytelling for me as well.

7:55 "An omelette with rice? Why does that sound like it would work?" - Because it would. Asians have eaten rice with eggs and ketchup for a long long time, in various methods and combinations. Furthermore, omurice is a staple food in Japan, and very hyped (too hyped IMO, like crepes) in anime. You should look it up, because the way the Japanese cook and serve omurice is quite special.

I don't usually like comedy animes but there are some good ondes, this is one but if you want more recomendatios you have nichijou that is very similar to bocci, excel saga, this is complete absurdism I can't even tell what is about and konosuba, is a parody on isekai and some other anime and jrpg tropes I recomend to watch it when you have more anime in your blood so you get the parodies but if you played some jrpg before then you may get many of them

I mean, Bocchi the rock's manga hasn't finished, but a season2 hasn't been announced yet, It will probably take time or maybe we won't get a second season at all (like that certain other band anime)

I think if you do consider a sports anime, you may want to check out Hajime no ippo. Unfortunately it is a bit dated but well worth watching.
