While Doom 2016’s intro was def sick, I gotta give it to Doom Eternal, the intensity building as he geared up to go defend the earth from the demonic invasion, and the look of steeled rage in his eyes as he hears the desperate screams of survivors over the radio-it could make the staunchest pacifist ready to go to war.

Deep cut… Ashley Riot intro in Vagrant Story. After the initial credits intro, when you get into the proper game and he is asked about reinforcements… what a classic response. For ambiance how do we not even mention Samus? She just materialized into the game and you start playing.

I probably need to give this more thought, but for the time being, let's just go with a character I've mentioned before: Jumbo Champloon. You're on New Island, you've made your way through, and you come upon this pile of rubber and rubbish. Then there's a quake, and the pile rises up to form the area's king, there are sirens going off, he's speaking English words that mean something completely different in his own language, and it's just crazy and intimidating.

Rico Velasquez from Killzone's original trilogy as he guns down an entire squad of Helghast and pops a Helghast tank in a permapissed fury instilled within him with the death of all of his division. Once you try him out, his minigun rips right through everyone with overheat instead of reload and an underbarrel grenade launcher. Little will top him saving your ass with his intro for me.
