I must say that I really enjoyed your presentation of this :D I was surprised Crusaders of the Lost Mark wasn’t higher up or at least number 1, although I personally wouldn’t put it that high I definitely know a LOT of people who would! Fame and Misfortune has been my favourite episode for a long time...it’s just too entertaining and I still love the song Flawless! Grieving that it (spoiler alert) wasn’t on the list :’)

I’m hyperventilating… THE CUTIE MAP?! It’s my SECOND favourite two-parter! No bloody wonder it was nominated for an Hugo Award (that’s not a joke. seriously, look it up… 🥰)! The creepy atmosphere was splendid and Starlight’s villainous nature is perfection for how she enslaved a whole town and her powerful disposition was certainly a surprise. 🙌

Loved the video! I haven't checked the IMDB ratings for FIM in a while, so it was interesting to get a refresher and see what some of the highest rated episodes were. I would've liked to have seen The Best Night Ever and The Return of Harmony included in the top ten, but overall it's a pretty solid list of eps. Really enjoyed how you presented the rankings here!

Want to hear some criticism? Sounds of Silence-Applejack and Fluttershy again? A Royal Problem-I heard twilight was going to have a major in this it's stupid how they threw her in as a joke. The Last Problem-Too many lose ends for closures. A Canterlot Wedding-It's hard to watch everypony ignore all of Twilights warnings and they just rushed the introduction of 3 characters

Here are my detailed thoughts on IMDB's current Top 10. The Perfect Pear." While undeniably good, I find myself questioning its top position. The episode cleverly parodies Romeo and Juliet yet falls short of capturing the original's gripping turmoil. Unlike the original, the emotional impact of lovers facing the consequences remains absent. Furthermore, the love story felt one-sided, with Pear Butter alone making sacrifices. Overall, I'd rate it 7/10, a commendable effort but not the standout it's touted. "The Last Problem" is a stunning episode, weaving a tapestry of closure for the series. Its well-crafted conclusion fulfilled me, and it's worth noting that it showcased one of the series' most exceptional songs. I'd comfortably rate it an 8.5/10, a score that easily secures its spot in my top 10 favorites. "A Canterlot Wedding" rightfully claims its spot within the top 3. Undoubtedly, it stands as the pinnacle among the series' specials. Tucked within its narrative is the series' most captivating villain song, a gem. Chrysalis, my personal favorite antagonist, exhibits a captivating malevolence, and the Changelings instantly earned a place in my heart. The concept of emotion-consuming shapeshifters isn't new, yet it's masterfully executed here, with Chrysalis' inability to comprehend love as a brilliantly unique flaw. Celestia's defeat is gripping drama, and the conclusion packs a poignant punch. The only drawback lies in the behavior of Twilight's friends, which slightly hampers the episode's impact-a well-deserved 9/10 for its artistic creativity and compelling storytelling. Twilight's Kingdom - is quite nice. I'll probably make myself unpopular, but I think "Twilight's Kingdom" is massively overrated. Ok, I can see some people hammering aggressively on their keyboards, but at least let me explain first. The episode has a straightforward premise (which is ok). The episode works towards the fight at the end for virtually its entire running time. Everything else is just the setup. And the battle at the end, which is the payoff moment, is also tremendous and undoubtedly one of the better scenes in the series. But in the end, we, as viewers, spend most of our time watching just that setup. And here's the problem: the destination path could be better. Any Alicorn would have overpowered Tirek, and the conflict would be over. Why does Celestia send Discord to stop Tirek? So far, every time danger looms, Celestia sends Twilight, but this time, with dubious justification, she sends Discord, whose loyalty at this point is at least questionable. Really? When it came out that Discord betrayed Equestria, Tirek could have been stopped immediately by confronting him before he gained any more power. After all, Tirek was getting stronger as time passed, while you did nothing to increase your strength. If one had sought confrontation here, the conflict would have ended immediately. Why is the Alicorn magic saved in Twilight? At that point, it was already known that Discord works with Tirekt, and even if Tirek doesn't know about Twilight... Discord does. And what did they want to achieve with it anyway? Even if Twilight had successfully ensured that Tirek couldn't get her magic, he still would have conquered Equestria and robbed all the ponies of their magic. So... Then Twilight shouldn't talk to her friends about it because... well, why should she? Until now, friendship and cooperation were always the right solutions and Celestia's go-to solutions, but now suddenly, it's not. If Twilight had informed her friends, Discord and Tirekt wouldn't have been able to set up a Fale for her, and Tirek would have been weaker in the final battle while Twilight would have had support. But oh well. But even apart from that, the episode has some weaknesses. In the beginning, it is shown that Twilight has problems with her role as an alicorn and princess and does not understand her place in the world. She feels insignificant. Great, that leaves room for character development. Or ignore this issue for the rest of the episode, and in the end; the problem is solved by giving Twilight a Magic Table and a cool castle. Why put work into a character so that he has to overcome his concerns when it can be as simple? Then we come to Discord. That the master of manipulation falls victim to manipulation so quickly is hilarious. That he never considered that he could be betrayed is laughable, and his second Redemption is even more rushed than the first. Without thinking much about it, he betrays everyone else out of entirely selfish motives. Then he gets betrayed and is suddenly redeemed... because of a realization or something. Where was the part where you recognized your mistakes and worked on yourself? Discord is unchanged afterward, with the same characteristics and errors. A redemption arc takes longer than 3 minutes. I still like the episode a lot, but it wouldn't be in my top 10, and I generally find it a bit overrated, considering the frequency in which it is seen as the best episode of the series. 7/10 "Slice of Life" enjoys its popularity due to its unapologetic fanservice. However, if I'm being frank, I personally find it to be one of the most uneventful and easily forgettable episodes in the series. The reliance on catering to fans overshadows the substance, resulting in a lackluster experience. A mere 4/10 from my perspective, as it fails to leave a lasting impression compared to the show's more engaging narratives. "Crusaders of the Lost Mark," unfortunately, left me with a tinge of disappointment. Don't get me wrong; the episode has much going for it. It provides Diamond Tiara with added depth, although my empathy for her actions remains limited. The musical numbers essentially hit the right notes, yet the pivotal moment where the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally obtained their cutie marks left me underwhelmed. My primary concern lies in the glaring retcon, as the talents of these characters had been subtly hinted at in earlier episodes, only to shift dramatically here. Additionally, the manufactured conflict about potential separation due to diverse talents felt contrived, especially given the precedent set by the Mane 6's various abilities and tight friendship. While the episode doesn't quite live up to its potential, I'd still grant it a 7.5/10, acknowledging its merits while acknowledging its narrative missteps. Amending Fences - belongs on place 1. 10/10 "A Royal Problem" skillfully straddles the line between fan service and engaging storytelling, offering an array of commendable moments, particularly in the humor department. Yet, it's not without its share of weaknesses. The episode's ambition to delve into the Royal Sisters' relationship remains somewhat unfulfilled. What was meant to explore the intricacies between Celestia and Luna often leans towards the facets of their royal duties instead. Unfortunately, utilizing the "role reversal for mutual understanding" trope feels tired and clichéd, detracting from the episode's potential impact. Furthermore, Starlight's half veers into her apprehensions about failure, with the dream sequence confined to her perspective, leaving characters like Daybreaker (a creation of her imagination) and Nightmare Moon as mere reflections without insight into the sisters. This squanders what could have been a rich opportunity. In addition, Starlight just doesn't do well in the episode and feels like a half-finished character. And I just have to note here, Starlight's character arc was the biggest bullshit in the series. Really poorly implemented. More details on demand. The battle in the Dream Realm was also a rather mediocre experience. In the end, the consequences of defeat were far too low. Despite these shortcomings, I would still rate it an 7/10, recognizing its humorous moments and intriguing premise while acknowledging its missed potential in character exploration. Sounds of Silence - is a true gem and a clear 9/10. The Return of Harmony Part 2 - is now the 10th place and, in my eyes, also a good episode, but Pinkie Pride belongs clearly rather in this list.

This is definitely a controversial opinion, but I don't like The Perfect Pear. I don't like Romeo and Juliet-esque stories. To me they always feel like the same story with little variation. I won't knock anyone for liking the episode I just don't. Personally I'd put The Cutie Remark where The Perfect Pear is and put Crusaders of the Lost Mark at 2. I don't have much an issue with anything else on the list.

My favourite mlp episode from each season: 1 - The Cutie Mark Chronicles.. I love this episode! I love the lore and the fact that rainbow dash's first sonic rainboom is what brought the mane 6 together before they even knew it. Honourable Mention: Sonic Rainboom 2 - Sisterhooves social, Hurricane Fluttershy and A Canterlot Wedding (A Canterlot Wedding is my favourite and first finale I watched but I may be biased) all these episodes were amazing! Sisterhooves social is great, Rarity and Sweetie Belle have really good sister episodes. Hurricane fluttershy is a great fluttershy episode, out of the mane 6 I think her episodes are the best 3 - Magic Duel, Trixie didn't deserve to lose everything, I feel kinda bad for her really. This episode is enjoyable. I don't like Boast Busters though. Honourable Mention: Sleepless in Ponyville. 4 - Pinkie Apple Pie, Pinkie Pride, it ain't easy being breezies, Maud Pie, For whom the Sweetie Belle toils.. I love season 4 and 2, they're my favourite seasons of the show :D I love Fluttershy episodes, I love Rarity and Sweetie Belle, I love Pinkie Pride and Pinkie Apple Pie for the music and the story. It's a shame it was never confirmed whether or not Pinkie Pie and Applejack were cousins though. Wait wait flight to the finish, I love the song so much but DT is so meann 5 - (can't keep writing long descriptions so I'll just say the name) The lost treasure of griffonstone, Rarity investigates and crusaders of the lost mark 6 - was meh imo but I liked Spice up your Life 7 - A royal problem, the perfect pear, campfire tales, a health of information and shadow play (it's not talked about that much but I like the pillars which is why I like campfire tales and a health of information) and I don't think I need to explain why I like the perfect pear 8 - sounds of silence. First episode I watched! I loved it so much! Autumn Blaze was so entertaining and Applejack and fluttershy have a good character dynamic. Honourable mention: The hearths warming club, on the road to friendship (starlight is a bit annoying though) and what lies beneath. Sadly I don't like most of this season but I prefer it to season 6. A matter of principals is the worst episode ever 9 - sparkles 7, frenemies, growing up is hard to do. And of course, the last problem. I don't really like season 9 tbh. I like those episodes kinda but there really isn't an episode that stand out to me unlike the other seasons (in some seasons multiple episodes stand out)

My Top 5 Best Episode List! (Honorable Mentions!) Just my opinions, and if you disagree or get after me, I'm sorry. :/ #5 The Return of Harmony - Because I think Discord would have made a better villain than a hero with possessing many magic powers as a half dragon, half lion. Not going to lie, this is one of my favorite Discord episodes, because if he was meant to be evil, it was funny to have chocolate milk rain, and cotton candy clouds, but all of the other Discord episodes were significantly worse. Except Discordant Harmony with the singing tea bags which I laughed my ass off from. Other than that, we won't talk about the others here though. #4 The Mane Attraction - Like Amending Fences, Applejack tries to get Rara or the previous Countess Coloratura to reminisce or rather think back to the old times of when they were fillies which I thought was mighty sweet. It was satisfying to see that something got back to Rara making her more trustworthy of her old timer friend. #3 Made in Manehattan - Because it teaches teamwork can make a big difference. I mean, Rarity and Applejack, my favorite duo, have help restore glory to a city! It can't be much better than that! It makes me proud to see that even the most opposite attracts can be power to improvisation! This is even better than "Simple Ways," where Rarity had to try to impress Trend, but was rejected because of Applejack's stunning gorgeousness. That episode was funny, but kind of cheesy. Which is why "Made in Manehattan" is margins better. Sorry to those who disagree. #2 MMMystery on the Friendship Express - I like this one, because of the Sherlock Holmes references as well as detective Pinkie. In my opinion, she did a little better at putting on a comedy than detective Rarity, but she was decent too in Rarity investigates despite being rated lower. For humor, this episode does a good job at making me laugh, but if you are more of a fan of a serious, more defensive target towards protecting a dear friend, then "Rarity investigates" would be the better episode here. Despite the random jumping to conclusions Pinkie Pie has to make every few seconds, it was a decent episode. #1 Luna Eclipsed - Ah, yes, this episode right here... I remember it. Fun fact, it was featured as a Halloween special on the official channel of My Little Pony. I was also going to pick Lesson Zero, but nah. It was only good because I laughed my ass off when Twilight made up a friendship problem with smarty-pants and then enchanted it with a love potion spell like what happened to Big Mac and Cheerilee. That made me dead inside with laughter. Anyway, Luna Eclipsed is a good spectacle of an episode because Luna was originally feared to be Nightmare Moon, but tried to be less evil and act more reformed to her old self, like how Celestia once loved her for the benevolent younger sister she is. I appreciate how the fillies and colts began to realize and learn that it is fine to be afraid of a hero who had once been a villain. That statement of mine doesn't fit in quite as well with other antagonists like Discord, Trixie, or even the evil Starlight Glimmer. However, I must say that I have a bit of compassion for Starlight in a sense that I was kind of like that too as a person myself, but realized shortly after that my own behavior can impact those around me and... Yeah, that is how I learned. Trixie is more of an anti-hero, and same thing for Discord, even if it meant he played jester and messed with the weather and the Mane 6's personalities to be reversed (Not representing the elements ofc), in Return of Harmony. That is my take. Sorry it is long, but I had to back up my opinion with this statement of mine. So... That is my list, what do y'all think? I remember I got into MLP after it had ended. I was binging all the MLP episodes on Netflix and I eventually got to The Perfect Pear. I read the Netflix description and immediately groaned before skipping because the way Netflix described it was this: "The Apples set out to resolve a long lasting feud between the Apples and Pears." Ugh. I already got that from the Hoofields and McColts! I don't need another one. Well after I finished watching the series, I went onto IMDB and saw how high the episode was rated. So I was like "Ugh... fine. I'll bite. See why people like this episode." So I turned it on and watched it. I hate you, Netflix. You cancel great shows early, underpay writers and actors, and worst of all... you painted the best episode of MLP as one of the most generic sounding episodes with a description that was immensely inaccurate.

My favourite episodes of my little pony friendship is magic are the best night ever, lesson zero, Luna eclipsed, Canterlot wedding parts 1 and 2, crystal empire parts 1 and 2, Spike at your service, magical mystery cure, power ponies, three’s a crowd, Equestria games (definitely my favourite, I don’t care what people say about it), amending fences, gauntlet of fire, times they are a changeling, Celestial advice, a royal problem, triple threat and once upon a zeppelin. Spike’s my favourite character (just not all his episodes) just because I find him a cute talkative character which is also why I found the Equestria games episode to be a good big moment for him with the ponies. Any of the pony characters that are my favourite will be Twilight (most of the time), Fluttershy (sort of), princess Cadance and Starlight (after she reformed). And I agree with all of these choices! Canterlot Wedding was pretty meh in part 1, but part 2 was alright for me. It had a badass villain, but the Mane 6 were not thinking straight, nor trusting Twilight despite knowing her the longest. Otherwise it was tolerable to an extent, but not as bad as School Raze or Best Night Ever was. Those were trash, because A) Clickbait for BNE (Should have been Worst Night Ever!) and B) Not much importance or significance to be a finale. Cozy glow stated that "Friendship is power!" Which I rolled my eyes at completely in irritation. It is not true, and also did I forget to mention, it is actually "Knowledge is power," not friendship. Anyways, Twilight's Kingdom is indeed the best finale ever! And Shadow Play was decent too. As for Slice of Life, I think it is aight too. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either with a passion. It was not a horrible episode. In fact, I think it is semi-equivalent to how Mysterious Mare Do Well was where I think they both are OK episodes, but neither amazing or horrendous either. So Slice of Life does not need to be one of the best in the top 10, I agree that it falls lower than that. At most, it is above average for me, but it wouldn't get away with much higher.

Pinkie Pride: One of Pinkie solid episode and my most favourite Pinkie episode. Only my second best episode for Season 4 because I pick Flight to the Finish. Sound of Silence: I can agree this is the most solid Season 8 episode, since most of the episode from this season really lackluster plus troll in the same time. Most people start to lost interest from episode 16 to 18, some might go on until episode 21 which I don’t get how did episode 19 & 20 even get into people top 5 worst episodes; I found that two episodes are consider as solid episode. Slice of Life: Not fan of this episode because I don’t know much about the background characters. Amending Fences: Best M.A Larson episode and my favourite Twilight episode, only my fourth favourite episode because Crusader of the Lost Mark, The Cutie Remark & The Mane Attraction. Crusaders of the Lost Mark: Second best musical episode for me, I prefer A Hearth Warming Tale. A Royal Problem: Best Starlight solo episode ever, she really need more love but too bad she don’t have much screen time in Season 8; throw most of the blame on the haters for not allowing her to show up and ruined Season 8. The Last Problem: A great send off for the series, not the best episode for that season. Kinda of a mix bag episode for me, but I can say the song is the best in Season 9 song and my most favourite MLP song of all time. A Canterlot Wedding: Everyone in the first part was hit with idiot stick, while the second part is so damn HYPED! The second part literally pulls off the entire problem in the first part and the songs are awesome and epic at the same time. Twilight’s Kingdom: The finale make me realize that Celestia has been manipulate most of Twilight achievement before finding her purpose of life, main reason why I can forgive Discord for disguising as Grogar; because he just following Tia footstep. The Perfect Pair: I almost put this episode tied with Discordant Harmony because Grand Pear disown Pear Butter scene that made me place this episode second place, I know this sound crazy but hear me out; parent disown their child during the child stage is a serious issue, not all of them that lucky to have a new family that is better than the original one while some ended up as a mindfuck sadistic villain path such as world domination, blow up the planet or create a virus to mutate people into zombie.

Very happy to hear I'm not the only one who thinks "Slice of Life" is overrated. I'd honestly prefer and watch "Fame and Misfortune" any day over this. The fandom praises "Slice of Life" for giving a love letter to them, but despised "Fame and Misfortune" because it showed that something such as fandom's can be deciduous.

I know I watched this video a bit late, but here are my takes on these episodes: Pinkie Pride: I agree that this is a really fun episode, it’s among my personal favorites. Sounds of Silence: For as lackluster as season 8 was, this is definitely one of the better episodes. I enjoyed Applejack, Fluttershy, and Autumn Blaze’s performances in this. It’s my second favorite season 8 episode behind Horse Play. Slice of Life: Honestly I wasn’t really a fan of this episode either. I found it really disappointing for the 100th episode. I’m just not really into the background ponies. The ending with the mane 6 was nice though. Amending Fences: My top favorite episode along with Crusaders of the Lost Mark and The Cutie Re-Mark. It’s definitely Twilight’s best episode. I also loved her old Canterlot friends, especially Moondancer. Crusaders of the Lost Mark: Like I said, top favorite episode. I loved the songs, Diamond Tiara’s redemption, and the CMCs finally getting their cutie marks. Definitely the best musical episode. A Royal Problem: Definitely a great episode, and a lot of fun to watch over and over again. Also thank you, Starlight Glimmer does deserve more love. She’s one of my top favorite characters in this series and the one I personally relate to the most. The Last Problem: While not one of the best to me, it is a satisfactory conclusion to this show. I wasn’t really a fan of the time skip, but I did enjoy the coronation and the emotional and comedic bits in this story. That ending song also hits hard. A Canterlot Wedding: While I do find part 1 a bit strange, (though still enjoyable) part 2 is definitely excellent in just about every sense. I can see why you would choose it as your favorite two parter in the series. Twilight’s Kingdom: I will admit that I find this episode very overrated, but it’s still pretty good. I will say that it’s not one of my top favorites, but I do enjoy the songs, Twilight giving up her magic to save her friends, and the introduction of her castle. R.I.P. Library. The Perfect Pear: Yes this episode is nothing short of amazing. While I don’t exactly agree with it being the best of the series, it’s definitely my favorite episode of season 7. I loved Applejack’s parents and wish we could’ve seen more of them in the series. That’s how I feel about these. Great video as usual, and it would be cool if you shared your own top 10 episodes one day.

I found out on Netflix that they only removed season 5 to season 8 of MLP Fim but still kept season 1 to season 4, Like what’s the point? Sure cuz of G5 but G5 is connected to G4 so it makes sense to keep G4 cuz story reasons. Oh well, back to me playing The MLP g5 ROBLOX game cuz G5. Also I might not play the upcoming G5 Budge mobile game cuz SUBSCRIPTION REASONS.

"Do princesses dream of magic sheep" was a very controversial episode in my opinion.It tackled depression and PTSD and it handled them very bad.You can't tell someone with depression "Stop having depression", like RD told Luna "Stop feeling guilty!", because this isn't how it works.

Honestly while I do like Pinky Pride I do think it is a bit over rated mostly because I really don't like Pinky mopeing and I don't really like the song were she is sad I will say I do like the comedy a lot Sound of Slience is one of my favourite episodes I love the mesage about propper communication I kind of hate Slice of Life but that might just be because I don't care for the backup ponies and the fandom references don't really do much for me I just see them as kind of pandering also I personally don't find it that funny What can I say about Amending Fences that hasn't been said I love the episode. I hate Crusaders Of The Lost Marks there's way too many musical numbers and I really don't like dimond tiars arc. One of my least favourite episodes honestly it doesn't actually really develop the princess also I just don't like Starlight and honestly day braker sort feels really fan fiction to me also I kind of grind the plot to the halt I just find this episode kind of boring I was satisfyed at the first watch because the show was over but looking back at it is just kind of dull in my opinion What can I say I love this episode Crysalist is a greate episode and changings is such a unique threat and it probably has some of the best musical numbers especially This Day Aria Love this episode it just soo epic love Tirak he is such a fun villain I hate this it is such a bland romance for me like I kind of wish they weren't dead so brightmac amd pearbutter could actually tell there story also brightmac is kind of under developed as a character especially compared to Pearbutter the only reason they should be dead is to see the trees wich was a nice scene but I would preffer them to actually tell there story.

My personal favourite is probably Sound of Silent or It Ain't Easy Being Breezys or Grythin the Brush Off because they tell the most important lessons especially Grythin the Brush Off wich tells an amazing lesson of cutting out bullies and they even make it more nuanced by having Raindow cut Gylda out for bullying Pinkie because she repect Pinkie too much to have her put up with Gyda wich is an amazing lesson that even some adult don't understand often a lot of people want to keep all the friends to avoid drama but if someone is being a toxic bully u have all right to cut them out.
