Enjoyed the reaction as always, man! It’s seriously no surprise that your channel is growing so fast, because out of all the reaction channels out there, yours is one of the most knowledgeable and insightful ones that I’ve ever seen. You always add a few thoughts that make me thing “dang, that’s a great point!” Couple thoughts I had while watching. 1, I get what you’re saying about that Orlando team, and TMac and MJ would have been a FORCE together. The problem is the rest of the roster. Lol. With Grant Hill injured, the rest of the supporting cast was waaay below average (to put it kindly). The next best player was either Mike Miller or Darrell Armstrong… Yikes. With Horace Grant and Patrick Ewing as old as they were, they basically had no inside presence and were one of the worst defenses in the league… So maybe, but the weight on MJ and TMacs shoulders would have been A LOT. 2, there’s one other team I WISH I had included in the video, but I didn’t think of it until after the video was published, and that’s the Philadelphia 76ers. Larry Brown was the team’s coach, and he had the UNC Tar Heel connection with MJ. Plus MJ and Dikembe Mutombo shared the same agent in David Faulk. Then there’s the fact that Philly just LOST to the Lakers in the NBA Finals, so MJ could join Allen Iverson, mentor him, and help him get over the hump…. That seems like a challenge that MJ might have embraced. 3, This is my complete fantasy pick, as there were no connections to San Antonio, but that’s the most entertaining team in this scenario. Imagine MJ and Tim Duncan and Coach Pop, against Kobe, Shaq and Phil Jackson in the West Finals 🔥🔥🔥
@TheRealMindCrimeАй бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Jonny! I'm glad you watched this. This was definitely a fun topic to explore. Ok 76ers and the Spurs...this would get interesting. AI worshipped MJ so having MJ lead by example in practices I think could've propelled AI to new levels and they could've made some splashes but MJ, Duncan, and Pop would be amazing. Jordan finally having a reliable big man to dish to could be all that is needed for a western conference finals vs the Lakers that us basketball needs deserve lol.
@EpicentrАй бұрын
I'd love to see an additional video from each of you on this! I don't see Jordan would've joined any truly stacked team like the Lakers, as close as he was with that crew. I think his competitive nature would keep him to a small market or underdog team (like the Wizards).

If MJ had joined the Lakers in 2000 and teamed up with Shaq and Kobe, this would have been considered a Super Team, and MJ would've been seen as a ring chaser. Even with Phil Jackson as the coach, I don't think MJ would've chosen to play with them. MJ was so competitive and wanted to prove to the world that he could play on a mediocre team, and improve them to be playoff contenders, while at the same time, proving he could play with the best in the NBA. The team he'd play with, IMO, would've been the Houston Rockets. In the 1999-2000 season, they were 34 and 48. They had Hakeem Olajuwon and Charles Barkley, with whom MJ was good friends. With Steve Francis at PG, Hakeem at Center, Barkley at PF, and Shandon Anderson at SF, MJ would've started as the SG. Also, the coach was Rudy T., and I believe he and MJ would've gotten along very well.

I think that if Jordan went to the lakers, he would’ve done what was needed to win. In the last dance it showed him talking about being geared more to teach success. What if he was able to either start or be sixth man and mentor Kobe and Shaq. I do agree with you that he would’ve wanted to be more integral, and maybe Portland would’ve been a better option. But also what if he went to the lakers right away after 98? I think he might’ve tied Russell with rings with 11. Dang that’d be crazy. Winning rings from 96-02 lol

And i bet Kobe would have had a much faster rise to greatness plus i wouldn't pass Shaq getting some of what Pip got from MJ early on, as in work ethic and healthier choices. Just raising these two guys without them getting envious of MJ just because he'd be in his last years, not a menace for the future. Doesn't this scenario make the best team ever? 3 of maybe the best 10 ever in the same team? I would have loved to see that
