Enjoyed the reaction as always, man! It’s seriously no surprise that your channel is growing so fast, because out of all the reaction channels out there, yours is one of the most knowledgeable and insightful ones that I’ve ever seen. You always add a few thoughts that make me thing “dang, that’s a great point!” Couple thoughts I had while watching. 1, I get what you’re saying about that Orlando team, and TMac and MJ would have been a FORCE together. The problem is the rest of the roster. Lol. With Grant Hill injured, the rest of the supporting cast was waaay below average (to put it kindly). The next best player was either Mike Miller or Darrell Armstrong… Yikes. With Horace Grant and Patrick Ewing as old as they were, they basically had no inside presence and were one of the worst defenses in the league… So maybe, but the weight on MJ and TMacs shoulders would have been A LOT. 2, there’s one other team I WISH I had included in the video, but I didn’t think of it until after the video was published, and that’s the Philadelphia 76ers. Larry Brown was the team’s coach, and he had the UNC Tar Heel connection with MJ. Plus MJ and Dikembe Mutombo shared the same agent in David Faulk. Then there’s the fact that Philly just LOST to the Lakers in the NBA Finals, so MJ could join Allen Iverson, mentor him, and help him get over the hump…. That seems like a challenge that MJ might have embraced. 3, This is my complete fantasy pick, as there were no connections to San Antonio, but that’s the most entertaining team in this scenario. Imagine MJ and Tim Duncan and Coach Pop, against Kobe, Shaq and Phil Jackson in the West Finals 🔥🔥🔥
@TheRealMindCrime
@TheRealMindCrime Ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Jonny! I'm glad you watched this. This was definitely a fun topic to explore. Ok 76ers and the Spurs...this would get interesting. AI worshipped MJ so having MJ lead by example in practices I think could've propelled AI to new levels and they could've made some splashes but MJ, Duncan, and Pop would be amazing. Jordan finally having a reliable big man to dish to could be all that is needed for a western conference finals vs the Lakers that us basketball needs deserve lol.

I'd love to see an additional video from each of you on this! I don't see Jordan would've joined any truly stacked team like the Lakers, as close as he was with that crew. I think his competitive nature would keep him to a small market or underdog team (like the Wizards).

If MJ had joined the Lakers in 2000 and teamed up with Shaq and Kobe, this would have been considered a Super Team, and MJ would've been seen as a ring chaser. Even with Phil Jackson as the coach, I don't think MJ would've chosen to play with them. MJ was so competitive and wanted to prove to the world that he could play on a mediocre team, and improve them to be playoff contenders, while at the same time, proving he could play with the best in the NBA. The team he'd play with, IMO, would've been the Houston Rockets. In the 1999-2000 season, they were 34 and 48. They had Hakeem Olajuwon and Charles Barkley, with whom MJ was good friends. With Steve Francis at PG, Hakeem at Center, Barkley at PF, and Shandon Anderson at SF, MJ would've started as the SG. Also, the coach was Rudy T., and I believe he and MJ would've gotten along very well.

I think that if Jordan went to the lakers, he would’ve done what was needed to win. In the last dance it showed him talking about being geared more to teach success. What if he was able to either start or be sixth man and mentor Kobe and Shaq. I do agree with you that he would’ve wanted to be more integral, and maybe Portland would’ve been a better option. But also what if he went to the lakers right away after 98? I think he might’ve tied Russell with rings with 11. Dang that’d be crazy. Winning rings from 96-02 lol

even if jordan won 7 to 8 chips sad to say fans who dont really know the game will just say his competition is weak. just because their a fan of a certain player and not really a fan of the game. they dont even think that maybe you favorite player is just not the best thats why he cant dominate the nba like jordan din. cant belive mj is an underated passer,underated in being one of the smartest player and underated ball handler. heck kids this days even doubt his offensive skills. its like they cant see the details in the game every juke every reaction to the defense and jordan seeing where his teamates and opponents are before him taking his move. its like their celebrating loosing to winning this days. basketabll is a team sport it means you achievments is your teamates acheivments too. its just jordan is a HUGE part of that achievment. bron having 2 more assist does not mean his the only one making his teamates better, jordans way is making them mentaly and emotionaly thougher. the effect he has in the game is like youve got the best player in your team just play hard and play the right way and we aint gonna loose this shit. thats the jordan effect you feel that you cant loose thats why his teams is 11 and 0 in championship game cause jordan does not give up even if his team is down his gonna will his team to win ang hes gonna go nuts in the clutch

You called it lol, MJ+ Kobe+ Shaq=cheat code. Kind of like a tag, you're in for the next 20 points, i go chill on the bench and have a laugh. And i bet Kobe would have had a much faster rise to greatness plus i wouldn't pass Shaq getting some of what Pip got from MJ early on, as in work ethic and healthier choices. Just raising these two guys without them getting envious of MJ just because he'd be in his last years, not a menace for the future. Doesn't this scenario make the best team ever? 3 of maybe the best 10 ever in the same team? I would have loved to see that

Against Shaq, 2 cleans steals added frustration and maybe getting some earlier fouls on the big man, could swing a lot of momentum. I remember you've mentioned you play guitar? And your really into music and guitar playing, do you have any recordings of your songs or anything or an old band you were in or anything? Just curious lol This doesnt relate to the video so my bad on that haha

Oh no worries lol. I actually do have quite a few recordings out there with me playing. Only problem is my name is on it and I'm doing my best to keep my basketball identity and my real world one separate for now. It makes this more fun that way. Do you have any music out too? 🎸 🎶 🎵

@@TheRealMindCrime that makes sense man. Can’t blame you for that at all. Just wanna hear you lol do you still play music/guitar or was that a thing of the past? But as for me I have a few recordings out that are live recordings, not a live show just live recordings so nothing special. A lot of it accidentally got deleted and lost, which sucks.

Oh man thats so cool! I definitely still do play but only for fun these days. Its something that'll always be a part of me just like basketball is. Its cool to meet another fellow bball and music lover.

@@TheRealMindCrime likewise man! And same here. I have kids and don’t party anymore so I used to play more when I had ultimate free time, but either way I’d choose my kids over that old lifestyle anyways.

As a Lakers fan it would be cool to have MJ but as a basketball fan na MJ on the Lakers wouldnt sit right wit me for the simple fact that would be Jordan chasing rings it would look bad on his resume

I agree. All in all this is fun but I'm glad MJ didn't chase rings and instead did exactly what he did

would it tarnish mj's legacy if he chose to go to the lakers?

I dunno about tarnish but if he won rings in LA then it wouldn't really add to his legacy either cuz we'd remember it as ring chasing lol

I agree, the Lakers... At first I thought, too much Ego, but then I remembered how much Mamba respected MJ, for all the reason's NOBODY RESPECTS LEBONE.... MJ would have likely got 8+ rings, Koby would have been even better from what he learned from MJ, and Shaq would have just been Shaq.......Cool what if man, very cool :)
@TheRealMindCrime
@TheRealMindCrime Ай бұрын
Yup that's how i see it too. Because of shaq and kobe respecting MJ so much that would get everyone focused on winning instead of kobe and shaq fighting over who the main guy is lol
