@@ripdalt I really enjoyed it! I’ve been looking into all of James Wan’s films since watching Malignant (the spider cam shot and my love of giallo) and found myself interested in the many people who helped this project come together and their other work. Leigh Whannell especially I actually really liked his small role in the matrix as a kid and seeing him in the first saw he really is talented on and off screen! I can’t wait to see what else he was involved in. This video is honestly a great jumping off point in general 💯

I’m so excited to get more saw content from you. I love how you tackle these films and feel like I’m able to share my love for them with someone else. Yes, some of these films aren’t great. But I tend to always find something in them that I love and enjoy and am glad someone else does and doesn’t just tear the later movies in the main timeline to shred. Or at least does in a loving way.
@ripdalt3 ай бұрын
to me it's way more fun to talk about how cool something is than to tear it down, plus finding others that like it too is even better :)
@grandmasgopnik96422 ай бұрын
@@VampireLestatTheBratPrince it was my first time watching all of them and I genuinely enjoyed them all in their own way! I can see why you do. I found even in the sequels people rated poorly many things to enjoy. I guess I see how many hands had to make it come together and am looking for the mark of the maker some speak. Good costuming, set design, editing, sound mixing, minor character roles etc. Saw genuinely had a lot to appreciate! Even if someone didn’t like the content (I have a hard time with gore) it’s hard to deny the stylization of the universe. At least for me the only movies I openly disregard hard work is ones that allowed like clear abuse of power on set. The shining and Jeepers Creepers had a lot of people work hard and put a lot of love into I’m sure. I’ve seen the shining but I’ll never watch the latter. Horror is meant for a frightful fantasy to thrill or evoke something in the viewer and the people making it should not be subject to harm for the sake of entertainment. Pushing yourself for a shoot and being out in precarious positions by the power dynamics is another. At least from brief looks they don’t seem as dire as some productions even in their most cramped film. It’s looks professional and like creatives at work 👌

I just want to thank you again for making this series, even though Saw is one of the biggest horror franchises ever it still feels like there's not enough quality youtube videos about it. Since the best horror movie in every state video I've been down for whatever you want to make, but now especially with this series I'm here for good. I wish I would be able to help support on patreon or here on youtube monetarily wise but am sadly not able to. However I will be here staying subscribed, liking, commenting, and watching the video all the way through. It's not much but I hope it helps. Excited to see whatever it is you do next!!! Thanks for making the past 4 months slightly easier :)

maybe this is an unpopular opinion but the saw 0.5 billy whisper is so much more creepy to me. maybe its the fact that tobin's voice has an almost comforting quality to it. and i ADORE the fact that the reverse bear trap was lifted almost verbatim from the short film - so many traps are so quick and hectic but that 60 second lead up to the inevitable that amanda/david where you know they survived but how is so powerful!!! great video & i can recognise akira yamaoka's work from miles away! great taste!!
