When I discovered Freddie about two years ago I listened to him for hours a day crying a lot of that time, smiling too but crying a lot. His voice and the depth of soul in his performances touched me so much and thinking that he died so young leaving the world devoid of his presence just got to me. Something about him is so genuine and personal that I felt I had lost a friend. He had so much more to give and we miss him deeply.

Great reaction my friend. I cry every time I hear this song. This song came out in 1986. FREDDIE is the GREATEST SINGER EVER. He could do and sing anything. I have been a fan since I was about 9 yrs old. Thats when BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY came out. I just love to watch you react to QUEEN. Thank you for doing QUEEN videos. Take care and have a good day. If you sit in silence throughout the entire song because you're as mesmerized by Freddie's pure heartfelt talent as we are, I don't think any of us will complain. His songs and his voice can reach deep inside and pull out emotion you never thought you had. Thank you for appreciating Freddie, he deserves only the best from us because he gave us all the best of him❤ he was judged and criticized because of his lifestyle but everybody that only sees that misses so much! He is pure natural talent at it's very best❤ God broke the mold with Freddie❤

Freddie did a cover of The Great Pretender. The background "girls" were Freddie in the red wig, Roger in a blond wig, and a friend of Freddie's Peter Straker. It's really worth watching, especially the behind the scenes of making the video. In My Defence was released in 1986 and remixed in 1992.

Yes finally! Haha. I knew you'd like it, it's an amazing song and amazing performance by Freddie. I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you have the time I strongly recommend you check out an 18-20 minute interview of Freddie with Dave Clark (writer/producer of this song). They were friends and seemed to have genuine respect for each other. Dave talks about how he worked with a bunch of famous singers for the musical this song was a part of and how Freddie was the only one that always gave 100% in every single take. Freddie is surprised at that and says something like "I thought everybody did that", and Dave said no they don't. Freddie also talks about what makes the "Queen sound", very interesting answer that I don't think gets quoted enough.

Every time i hear this song it makes me cry to think that he is gone. He really did just think of himself as a singer with a song, he wanted to be remembered for his music, not all the non sense over his sexuality or anything else. You honor him so much when you get lost in his music because that is what he wanted. The inscription on his big statue in Montreux says, "Singer of Songs, Lover of Life." Brian May wrote that inscription and it sums Freddie up so well. He loved and lived life to its fullest and inspired all of us with his timeless music. Even though this song was for a musical called Time, it suited Freddie perfectly lyric wise and vocal wise. This song was featured on the Time Concept Album and was not a hit when it was first released. Can you imagine this not being a hit? I say what was wrong with people, were they deaf? It was re-released in 1992, after Freddie's death and reached #8 on the UK charts. Freddie also sang a song called Time for that musical, it is a very beautiful and meaningful song as well. You should also listen to Freddie's solo album called Mr. Bad Guy. It is a fabulous album even though it wasn't a commercial success at the time. I just think Freddie and Queen both were ahead of their time and people just weren't ready for his greatness yet. Mr. Bad Guy is really good. Songs on that album are: Let's turn it on, Made in Heaven, I was Born to Love You, Foolin Around, Your kind of Lover, Mr. Bad Guy, Man Made Paradise, There must be more to life then this ( this was a duet with Michael Jackson as well) you can look up that song done with Freddie and Michael. It is an incredible duet between two of the greatest entertainers of all time. continuing on with the songs on the Mr. Bad Guy album, Living on my Own, My Love is Dangerous, Love me like there's no Tomorrow. You may have reacted to some of these already, I don't know but if not, you won't be disappointed.

Im just discovering you as a reactor here on YT... As I write this comment, it's now Feb 10:04 ruary of 2024 and I am soooo appreciative of yr excitement & your well developed appreciation of Freddie's voice... it thrills me how you are listening to this beautiful soul & how well he sang his songs with that 4 octave voice he has, and the sheer passion you hear coming out of him. Because Freddie was ... wait, no ...FREDDIE IS THE GREATEST SINGER EVER. I have been doing the same thing since I first heard him in 1975, I loved the passion in him. He never took lessons but he taught himself mostly developing that extraordinary soulful, unique voice. And you my friend seem to hear it better than most. Not all have enough appreciation in the way you do, most love lyrics but Freddie's voice has such passion, wrapped up in his ability to deliver his songs with such amazing talent. Your comments about Freddie truly made me happy tonight ... Freddie left so much music for us prior to his passing, thank heaven. Its heartwarming when I come upon a person who really HEARS Freddie & his passion for music. Bless you for this lovely tribute to Freddie... he is different, he is something sent by God. One Queen song, written by Brian May, Queen's guitarist, described Freddie perfectly... in my mind anyway ! It reads "My soul is painted like the wings of 🦋 🦋 🦋 butterflies...."

I'm a shiny new subber of yours David- your reaction was legendary, quite knocked the breath out of me as every word you said I back to the hilt. The only other song I can think of with even a hint of Freddie's emotional integrity in this song is Sia's 'Chandelier' to which I solemly believe she must have been carried out of the studio on a stretcher after recording as she gave it literally everything. The dove in the video is a clip from 'Save me' which is right up there with 'Love of my life' as one of Queen's most beautiful ballads- you should check out 'All dead, all dead' as well - the animated video is a true gem and gives me a huge lump in my throat every time I watch it. Please, please play 'In my defense' to yourself a few more times, the more you know the song the greater the impact. Fab work, loving your input- cheers and well done.

chris the out-takes for save me were great too, they were trying to get the dove to go where they wanted it during the shoot and after many takes freddie held his mic like a rifle pretending to shoot it as it flew off in the wrong direction! 👑✊🇬🇧

This song is so truly beautiful. I can feel it in my heart. Yours was the absolute best and most powerful reaction I have seen, and is why I follow you. This song was written by Dave Clark, the producer of the Time musical. Freddie sang this and the title song, Time. Another emotional song beautifully sung by Freddie is Don't Try So Hard, from the Innuedo album.

The woman with the baby in the very beginning is Mary Austin, but she is holding Roger's baby daughter who is now a medical doctor. And yes, he kisses Mary a little later. You will see her in several clips from several different videos of Freddie at award presentations, parties, and from trips. In at least one interview from the 80's he says she is his common law wife. I agree, this is a favorite of mine as well. Dave Clark made a wise choice when he asked Freddie to sing this song and Time for his production of Time with multiple artists performing the songs The man he jumps on toward the beginning is Kenny Everett who plaed Bohemian Rhapsody 14 times over one weekend, helping to make it and Queen a huge hit

Recorded in 1986 for Dave Clarke's musical Time along with another song "Time" which is also brilliant...not sure if you've reacted to Time? Loved how into it you were...gets me like that too! Just amazing!!

This video really show the many facets of Freddie Mercury. Not even a Freddie or Queen song - it belongs to Dave Clark and Dave's musical "TIME" - Freddie Mercury brings so much to the songs he does. Best Vocalist in my opinion. Certainly one of the most diverse in singing styles. He is forever missed.

React to "time waits for no one" by freddie, is the same production that this song and is one of the best vocal demostration of Freddie
