Wallace Spearmon has a top-end speed that can match Usain's one. For example: in 100m Bolt smokes him in the first 50m but the second half race splits say Spearmon closes a bit of gap. Same thing in the 200m. Spearmon gets out the curve quite behind Bolt, of course, but in the second half he closes a bit of gap. Look also at that 4x100m relay final leg! From the baton change to the first 50m Bolt obviously smokes Spearmon, but then he finds the form and hold Bolt speed almost taking THE GOAT! For these reasons he runs the final leg in relays and has a pb of 19.6 and 9.89 over 200 and 100. Really fast top bend!
@TheSk8erGamer2 жыл бұрын
I think you mean he has the speed endurance that can match Usain. Not top end speed…
@Trackreator2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSk8erGamer Yes you are right. Spearmon anyway has a very good top end. For example Bolt, in 200 dominates the most from 50m to 150m, and then holds the speed whereas Spearmon starts around 100m mark and hold more or less till the end…
@Pumpxkin2 жыл бұрын
That's why when I look at Joseph Fahnbulleh, he reminds me of Wallace Spearmon and Tyson Gay mixed together with Bolt's strides. Sluggish start, but ridiculous final kick and speed maintenance.

Hey, I know this video is over 2 years old but please can you do another (possibly updated) video on the greatest comebacks (or not) as I feel thee’s been quite a few since this video came out!
@sprintspeedmedia3 ай бұрын
I have saved clips of new comebacks that happened in the past 2 years but I don't know if there were enough good ones to make it worth making a video using them and I'm out of ideas as far as editing goes so I don't know if I'll make a new comebacks video but it's possible at some point
@AthleticsEditz3 ай бұрын
@@sprintspeedmedia Yeah I get that it’s difficult to find instances where a comeback that is good happens, and also the editing takes time as well so I fully understand if you can’t/don’t want to make another video. Mind you, at least you got a lot of views from the first 2 videos (especially the first one)! Appreciate this channel a lot man!

The most exciting for me was watching Tortu anchor the Italian team in the 4x100 in the Tokyo Olympics! I love seeing countries win a medal in an event they’ve never won before. It was electric watching him win. The British guy showed such poor sportsmanship by crying like a baby - I’d never seen that before. Britain has a great team no reason to act like an azz just because you came in second.
