New Zealand is a wonderful , beautiful county with some great people. I was lucky to spend a month in the 80s and sailed the Bay of Islands. The kiwis are wonderful hearty sailors. The countryside is beautiful. But my friends were meat eaters but at the time I was a vegetarian and they respected that & made sure I got my veges and no meat. Love Dr Luke.

I loved this! Being from NZ and going vegan in the South Island in 2014 was brutal because not only did people not understand it they were like, how could you do this to our economy?! What if everyone went vegan and we would t have jobs and it’s a rough conversation. Dr Luke mentioned this a few times and it is so true.

All Functional Medicine Doctors should do this study annually with patient participants and tabulate the finding over several years and share with the world. They could compile a book, movie, and attend medical conferences with these findings and knowledge. Would be a great thing to encourage whole food plant based adaptation/conversion. They could even do panel interviews with participants where crowds of “interested people “ could answer any questions they may have about their conversion experience.

Hi Chef AJ. Been missing the live shows this week cause its March break here, so my grandson and I have been doing the tourist scene in Toronto, visiting a different locations most days. I am happy to be enjoying these recordings now that Saturday is here. Thank you very much for interviewing these amazing doctors and and people from NZ. I did watch Milked, it was an awesome documentary.

Great presentation. Im from NZ, hoping one day there will be free plant based cooking lessons all over the country. Poverty and poor nutrition so sadly intertwined.

Such a beautiful country! Speaking of poverty and malnutrition I heard on DW coverage that about 3 billion people don't have access to a wide enough range of food for optimal nutrition. But in the developed world, there seems to be a lack of knowledge, and other factors which work against good diets.

My husband is eating egg on toast at the moment 😏 I’m plant based …by the time I buy my veg and his food it’s costing me $200.00 a week. He’s had bowel cancer and he has kidney disease but he will not change ,plus he won’t eat any of my nutritious food. Australian

Sadly, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. I have stressed myself out trying to help others with severe health issues choose "food as medicine" but am giving up. I'm not longer willing to risk my health and waste my energy trying to help them, when they don't want it. Everyone has their own soul's journey. We can be the best examples possible, and hope that they see the light. I do hope that something triggers your husband to wake up.

I feel the same about my husband. Even my children.. I’m the only Vegan in my house and no one is interested.. My husband has high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He also gives me a hard time about telling my children to choose to not eat meat. He says it’s unhealthy to take meat and other animal products out of their diets. It’s so hard for me emotionally because I feel like such a hypocrite making meat and eggs for my family.

Watching from Melbourne 🇦🇺 WFPB very low fat , being doing it for 5 years, occasionally fall off the wagon, but I get straight back on, because the food makes you feel good. Still fat (the dreaded fat vegan), still trying, one day I’ll crack it for sure!
