Why don't you listen to the notes, the music, instead of thinking how you don't like tapping? Your mind has convinced you it's not good because "it's overdone to death by everyone." If you take into account all guitarists, how many of them actually play like this? And there are some things impossible to play on guitar unless you use tapping, musically speaking, not technically.
