It’s interesting to hear this. The relationships I’ve had have been so damaging I’m forever changed. I’ve often wondered if they even think about me and wonder how I am. We are damaged, but hearing this, it’s damaging for some men too. Thank you for sharing. I think women just want men who have harmed to become aware of their actions and try to work on themselves and become better people. We hope someday that they could just say I am so sorry for hurting you that way. That would be healing for both parties. ❤

When you tell him you have lost yourself and you are in pain and all he can say is "that’s your problem" or "don't be so negative" or "I'm sick of you being negative" when all you are trying to do is open up and pour your heart out choking on tears. He laughs in your face repeatedly and feels more empowered to scream when he sees you upset. Nothing hurts more.

You described my marriage of 24 years that I lost myself in. 5 years and I'm beginning to find the me that I lost while loving someone that wasn't loveable. He fumbled me and drank himself to death. I was the best he was ever going to get. I put myself aside and now I'm finding myself again and for that I will be grateful every day for the rest of my life.

@mrslady906 ай бұрын
ironically grief actually plays a part in that narcissistic characteristic that they have. They can’t cope with whatever happened to them.

No they don’t. They deny gaslight deflect responsibility, and then they replace ,and then it’s rinse, wash and repeat.

Yes, but their grief is different. They grieve the benefit of the good woman. They don’t grieve the fact that they hurt and damaged you. The grieve the access they had and the benefits (love, service, status etc.).

He broke me when I was very young and wouldn’t speak to me or looked at me since. So I never was told why. The last thing he said to me was cruel. After attempting to stop my pain, I repressed the memories. 43 years later, it all came back, including the pain. I reached out again, to ask why, and he blocked me. Still, no answer. So, I wrote a book about the experience.

I agreed, but he never set the computer up foe me to study, and I'd ask him to read the Bible from pg 1 to the end, asking God to Open it, to unfold the code to you. No one can tell you what's in the Bible but God. After you know what is, you share it, and those who hear are of like mind.
