@KoivuTheHab So if the drug orgy story was true, you don't think 3 deaths from a party warrants investigation? Or do you think older men drugging and raping young men is OK?! Also you need to go back and watch again. If they had of investigated the drug orgy story, they would have realised the parties did not exist and that they were a cover story. It would have been easy for them to trace the person Thierry was talking to. If they had listened to John Jack Taylor would still be alive now.

You guys need to look at it from the perspective of the police. If they do anything outside the rule book then the eventual prosecution can fall apart because of issues with evidence - its credibility, how it was obtained etc - which would ultimately affect the defendant's right to a fair trial. Also, they may have even suspected John Pape as the offender so why would they reveal their cards to him?

@peterr62057 жыл бұрын
It's usually not about the skill. I'm sure the detectives are much better at their job than this guy. The issue is, most police don't get the luxury of working on just one case for 6 months. They have something like this coming up every single day. Most people get away with crime, not because they make themselves hard to catch, but because the police are to busy. If crimes get unsolved, people get upset, if taxes go up to hire more police, people get upset. The police are not complete fools, at least not most of them, they are just overworked.
@xNatheeeGamer7 жыл бұрын
Peter R This is bullshit. It's England, the murder rates are exceptionally small in comparison to say, America. This looks like a smaller town, nothing much ever happens in smaller towns of England other than robberies and fights (I'm from one). A murder would have been insane in comparison to the usual petty crimes, this should have been investigated.

+Lee Sin JG small towns don’t have a dedicated staff of homicide detectives, usually get called in from bigger urban areas which are overstretched and have huge budget cuts anyway. Stephen port was actually very smart and deceiving besides doing it in the same place and the dumb suicide note idea, only after that did murder even cross the police mind. Police might’ve just assumed dodgy product was in rotation on the streets. If port had done this same crimes in a built up urban area with lots of nightlife and had spread out his murder areas, sick fucks like this are untraceable.
@tsfcancerman6 жыл бұрын
Bryn Hendry cops job is to clock in and drag out the case and maybe get some overtime and if realy lucky get to travel somewhere while they dont do their job properly. Cause if they do their job they would arrest ppl who do crime instead of bullying ppl because they dont respect cops authority.

Are you kidding? After the second death, the police couldn't, or just wouldn't, make a connection? Any half-witted detective should have been able to take one look at the first two victims and based on their physical resemblance: body type, hair, and facial features, the fact the victims were relatively found in the same area, less than a mile away from each other, that should have been more than enough to establish a pattern.

Men have a false sense of security, which is partially why they engage in risky behavior that women have been taught to avoid. Many of the worlds worst, most prolific serial killers exclusively targeted men, so the sense of security actually works in the killers favor. Randy Kraft was a serial killer in Los Angeles who killed over 60 men and some were marines. It’s terrifying to think that an average man could plan his murders so well that he could eventually take down a much larger, stronger man. Serial killers are cunning and that’s the problem. Once you realize what’s going on, it’s too late. So use your best judgment and don’t let your sex drive dictate your behavior.

I honestly think the friend investigating on his own should be a police officer, he could have used his determination and passion to save other lives. Too many meatheads are entering the police force and we wonder why they are bad at their job, well duh thats what happens when you feed a police culture that nurtures meatheads over critical thinkers.

a lot of it is that they're binded by the rules. if this guy joined the police he'd be in the same position. life isnt like the books and films- you go off and try and investigate without protocol, you lose your job and nobody carries on looking in to it anyway.

This is an excellent documentary. His diligence and loyalty to his friend truly helped take a murderer off the streets! It's just a shame that the police pussy footed around and 3 more people died! What if they had been straight and sober? Quicker and more thorough investigation? Hmmm...we can only speculate but this guy did better detective work than the real detectives, and put the puzzle together quicker! So that should've told them just how obviously linked the crimes actually were! I'm sorry they died that way. Nobody deserves that, gay or straight! Sigh....what a world!

Carla .McD he met a "friend" online whom he immediately let live with him. When Gabriel said he was moving out, he openly admitted in the beginning that he didn't even ask where. This guy is no friend. He has used this for attention and fame since. He had pics of the first three victims. Very young Blondish Twinkie looking men. Then rambles on and on about how it could be him next. He is 40 years old with a little boys hair cut. Something just isn't right with this guy either. He continues to exploit these men, pretending to be an lgbt crusader while going around town pretending to cry and vomit at every turn but only when talking about if it had been him. May I never be blessed with such a "friend".
@ThisIsNuckingFuts8 жыл бұрын
Oi Jess you're right! What old man is cruising gay sites to rent out rooms to young men?? Why is this weird behaviour allowed in the gay community? Is it because of the whole daddy kink thing?? Cause if that was my son I would be sickened to think he was living with an older man like that. It's automatically predatory. And I'm not upset but I do worry for young people a lot. I know how naive I was.

Very sad story. The police definitely dropped the ball. He said something so powerful here. "When the only time you encounter a certain type of group is when you are policing them, then you can develop a prejudice". We see that here in the states. There does need to be more diversity and sensitivity training.

Talsong Kingslayer sensitivity training means not shooting a man with downs syndrome because he had a toy in his hand. Or how about not locking a woman and her 4 year old child in a police car after she witnesses you killing her boyfriend? Or, oh, even NOT IMMEDIATE JUMPING PUT OF YOUR CAR AND TAZING THE FIRST BLACK GUY YOU CAN FIND THEN SHOOTING HIM WHEN HE RUNS. Yeah. That sounds like some good sensitivity training, aka these are human beings not animals to put down when you can't be fucked to reason with them.
