Buzz might be hiding something. I just feel it! This is my theory: Buzz and Lyla got divorced because she wanted to get out of his controlling relationship. He doesn't have a good relationship with his children because he can't control how they are. Basically, General Buzz is a control freak. He hates it when he is not in power. One day, the kids were supposed to go to their mother's house because of their custody arrangement. The children were unaware of this meeting, but Buzz knew it and never told them. Lyla called Buzz and asked where they could meet. Buzz replied, saying they meet at 13 Dead End Lane. Naturally Lyla was confused as to why they would meet at an old lady living with her niece's house. Lyla drives up to the driveway. She is confused because there are graves in this woman's garden. She takes a closer look, and BAM she's dead. Buzz knew EXACTLY what was going to happen. He did it on purpose, and never told anyone. That's why his kids have no memory of their mother's death - they think it's just a case of "Going to the store to buy milk" if you know what I mean.

When you talk about General Buzz getting a dog to teach the boys responsibility, I can totally see that. A German Shepherd, Rottie or Dobermann would be perfect. Very neat and quite aggressive 😂

this is my favorite pre-made family! I had a lil pixelated crush on Ripp when I first got the game as a teenager, lol. In my game he ended up running away from home and living with Ophelia (just as friends) and Olive, but I had no idea one of the graves on that lot is his mom, omg. Awkward. I think he ended up starting a band with Johnny Smith.

I would love to see little Buck and Jill grow up, become popular, and become almost like this semi-power couple even with both fathers having feuds. Aka a more "stranger" Romeo and Juliet type relationship. Also it would be very cool to see johnny and Ophelia carry on the Smith genetics of having one child with alien genetics and another with human. (Just a thought for ya troubles 😃)

Tank really does seem like a carbon copy, maybe he's simply that brainwashed by his father or he's trying to overcompensate because of something about him he doesn't want his father to know. Things being open to interpretation is honestly the best part of the sims' stories

Maybe Buzz is interested in Sci Fi because of all the work he put into it in his secret project. Possibly he thinks he knows better than everyone else about aliens. They just won't listen to his vast knowledge?! How dare they!! Also, wouldn't it be drama if Tank turned out different some way (gay, attracted to aliens, a LTW of being in the Dance career) that makes Buzz blow his top? What if he and Johnny mended their feud and became a couple? That would be amazing. I am watching the part about Ripp and thinking that his sad childhood and Ophelia's sad childhood could bond them and they could be a couple.

I'm so happy someone else likes Ripp as well :D I'm really curious to see which path he will take in Your let's play :) I can share what I noticed in my gameplay (cause I noticed everyone's a little bit different) To me he is SO much more than just another romance sim. For some unknown reason I feel a deep connection with him. He is an outcast, never truly understood at home, which he didn't even had, with his missing mother, strict father, bullying older brother and younger brother that Ripp needed to take care of and who was too young to understand everything. A lot of people just see a lazy party boy who can't take anything seriously. What I see when he sometimes looks in the camera is a young man who just really craves love and affection. I'll even go as far as say he is seriously touch- starved hence his constant wants to hug, to kiss, to just be in contact with other sims. But hey, he is like that in my game and I can't wait to see what You'll have in store for him ❤❤

If this family is getting a dog I think they should get something like a Pitbull, a Rottweiler, a Dobberman or a German Shepherd! I believe a breed that is usually considered ""dangerous"" would make the most sense for this family to have. I really don't see General Buzz getting his kids a small poodle or chihuahua haha

When I played the Grunt Household I wanted Buzz to find a wife, I cheated to get them more simoleons & hired the matchmaker. I gave the matchmaker the highest possible value and they gave me Bella Goth to go on a date with. I moved her into the household and now shes playable in my game. Just FYI if anyone wants a trick to get Bella Goth playable in strangerville, I have a feeling you always get Bella if you pay the matchmaker the max value and ask for a female.

When I play the Grunt Family Buzz Usually Die Early because i think he is Olive Next Victim(Because when you play The Specter Families Olive Roll the want to invite him and when you invite Buzz he always agreed Regardless of their relationship) And I make Ripp Bi And Have Relationship Between Johnny and Ophelia.

(Intimate): Tank secretly blames Ripp for stealing his first love... an action figure named Missy McBoom. (Dark): Tank once got punished by Buzz for being "too creative" with his face paint. Maybe you could incorporate it but it is your storyline

In my game I had Buzz call the matchmaker and pay her a high amount of simoleans, his match ended up being Bella Goth and they ended up having a relationship. Not sure if this always happens in Strangetown when you pay the matchmaker a large amount of money and are asking for a female :P

Tank and Buzz start with the report card wants, but those wants usually reroll if they aren't the first family played and appear around while playing other households. This happens with pretty much every moved in premade, which is a bummer since most of them were given specific wants and fears.

I'd love for any of the boys to fall for Stella Terrano when (and if) they go to college, and then coming back home and introducing her to General Buzz lol I also sometimes play Ripp as bi (as I do with many of my Romance sims), and I think Buzz wouldn't really like that either, specially since many people pair him with Johnny and Ophelia in a poliamorous relationship.

I play strangetown in a mini-uberhood using dreadpirate's modified templates and so Lyla and Olive were lovers and that's why Lyla divorced Buzz and so Buzz killed her 🙈 Tank is now dating Angela, Ripp is dating Miranda Capp, and Buzz keeps wanting to date someone but he hates everyone and they hate him back 🙃 Even Coral Oldie doesn't like him and she likes everyone lol

I'm currently reading up on the sims PSP and it seems that general buzz grunt succeeds in his mission. He has the Smith family locked up in division 47 and performs experiments on Pascal's baby (Who is named Tycho) Edit: They also call him Buzz cause he shaves his chest every morning 😂😂

Ripp’s name is the short form of Rippert, it means “strength and fame”. It’s very funny and ironic because Ripp is the weakest from all Grunt sons. Tank is… well, I think it’s his nickname. I guess his real name should be Frank. And Buzz is also kind of a nickname. In PSP version of The Sims 2 the General is called Buzz because he shaves his chest area every morning. I guess his real name should have been Edwin as an honour to Colonel Edwin Eugene “Buzz” Aldrin, an American aero engineer, astronaut and the military pilot.

Okay so I discovered your channel a few days ago because I was looking for some Strangetown lore, and I absolutely love the way you show their personalities and stories! I grew up with the NDS and GBA versions of The Sims 2, completely different ambient and stories, but I remember I had this weird crush on Tank Grunt, he was this grumpy adult with a facial paralysis that made his smile all the time, and it was said that what he had on his face was a tattoo. Seeing him as a teen, and discovering all that his family and neighborhood actually are, gives me this weird nostalgia, I adore it. Makes me want to play all these games again.

When I played Strangetown I played the Curious family. Pascal had a baby girl I named her Venus. I had Pascal and his baby move out. Then I played them until I had Venus become a child. She met Buck grunt they grew up together they became high school sweet hearts. I had the sister of Johnny I think her name is Jill become friends with Tank. They later fell in love. They actually have cute kids. I had Ripp fall in love with a SIM I created they had children. I had Pascal fall in love with Nervous. They got married and adopted a couple of kids.

I kinda get the feeling that Tank might be gay or even trans. Hear me out. In the PSP version of Sims 2, he apparently wanted to do ballet and was punished for being “too creative” with his face paint. Add that onto the last line in his bio, me thinks he might be closeted and THAT’S why he’s always bullying Johnny. It wouldn’t be surprising if that was the case to me. And I can definitely see Buzz not being on board with that at all 😳
