Have I ever told you the Mondays are NOT my favorite. Well rain isn't either and the 2 combined are even worse. I managed to get the shed floor acid stained and it is coming out awesome. Tomorrow looks like good weather so we will finally be able to get something done. Enjoy

i think it's important to show bugs some loyalty and appreciation in front of everyone.. maybe do an appreciation bugs day with a bonus for being the stand-out worker.. but if u do an appreciation bugs day, it should also be surprising to bugs too.

It's amazing how it's possible to make concrete look like actual wood. And old rustic wood at that. That pour and wood stamp you did in this video in your shed at your new land, and that big patio from the video last week both look awesome, amazing and beautiful! That back patio looks so cool, how the wood plank on their patio matches their old wood fence, and again your shed on this video looks so cool as well! It's amazing how concrete can look exactly like wood, especially like old rustic wood. I love it! It wood look cool if someone hand painted your company logo stamps that you put on both corners of the opening of the shed on your new land, red, white and blue to make them look exactly like your company logo. It's become pretty obvious that Eric's side jobs have become his #1 priority, ahead of working for Ryan. His issue with constantly being tired while working for Ryan due to having worked the night or weekend before on his side jobs wouldn't cut it if he worked for a typical contractor who needs his workers to work a full day on a regular basis. Giving bonus should be for people who come in on time, doesnt miss work and goes far and beyond. Bugs is the only candidate for the bonus. Erik is just going to just keep "waking up late" . Let him go. He has to experience the real world. The world doesnt revolve around him. Find employees who are like bugs.. youre going way beyond expectations as a boss for the guys and they dont appreciate you for what you do. Ryan.. you have family of your own to feed. If you keep employees like erik around still then on important work days most likely theyll just fail you and we dont want you stressing. Guaranteed Eric spoke to Franny and that’s why he text he just woke up knowing Ryan would tell him the same. Can’t wait to see some progress with new construction at Ryan’s Refuge. Little by little you can see it take shape. Just the land itself and how much brush was there, the trucks, that shed/utility room etc and you know in real time the shed from old yard is already there. Knowing Ryan he already has a barbecue grill and a table and chairs, horseshoe pit and might even have his daughters scheduled to put in red, white, and blue petunias lol. Love it!

I'm actually disgusted at how Eric treats Ryan, with everything Ryan's done for him, keep him employed, passing off side work to keep him busy and help him grow, setting Eric up for success to feed his family and Eric can't even get out of bed and get to work on time, he's constantly tired at work, and drags around all day struggling. It's disappointing to say the least. I know Ryan noticed he wasn't being appreciated as well when he stopped giving Eric side work. That was the first sign.

Ryan, here’s an idea….I’m a foreman for a fence/landscape/hardscape company. A few years back we had an issue with callouts and over sleepers/guys having “appointments” and having to leave early every week and such. My boss implemented an incentive program where if you work every day, are on time, and don’t leave early for the whole pay period you earn 8hrs of PTO. If you don’t want the PTO you can take it as a cash payout. I usually let mine build for a few months and then get a nice bonus payment.

Yeah I gotta agree with the late situation. Nothing irritates me more than someone being late and wasting my time. I used to pick up my one buddy for the gym every day, and every day he’d be 10-20 minutes late (I’d pick him up from his house). I used to text him when I was 10 minutes away, 5 minutes away, and 2 minutes away so he could be ready. And every single day I’d wait in his driveway for 10-15 minutes. The annoying thing about it for me is that we all have 24 hours in a day, so if you commit to a time, you better be ready 5 minutes BEFORE that time. Don’t waste other people’s time man it’s the one thing you can’t get back. It comes off as entitlement also

You would not believe the size of the Bass and Bluegills in some of those retention ponds. And the sheer numbers is insane. I fish them regularly around the Fox Valley area. I probably catch 200+ Bass every summer out of just retention ponds in industrial areas. Some have Crappies too, but they're no good for the Bass spawn. If your pond holds water you just need to put a few in there and nature will take over. You'll want to add a few Crawfish too, other food sources for the fish will show up naturally. But so will the snapping turtles and muskrats, which will eat your fish. The fish in those ponds are resilient as any. They manage to survive hard winters when the water probably freezes right to the bottom. The Bluegills have to compete with full size Largemouth so they get absolutely massive and only the meanest toughest Bluegills survive. We've tried to get perch to take off in a couple but they don't do so well. We never eat the fish, because of the questionable water quality, and obviously we would rather keep catching them! I'm so excited for you to have a pond, I really hope it holds water!
@jeffnorbert1871
@jeffnorbert1871 10 ай бұрын
Perch need deeper colder water than most ponds have. New ponds will usually soon have fish in them even if no person "stocks" it. Fish eggs arrive on the feet of ducks and geese. Unfortunately it's often carp and they create a poor environment for gamefish and even panfish.
@wjadam815
@wjadam815 10 ай бұрын
@@jeffnorbert1871 Hmm, interesting. Now that you mention it, we never catch fish in the ones with carp. But the carp get surprisingly big in those little ponds. I've seen them 25"+ and as round as a basketball. Good thing they're easy targets, it shouldn't be too hard to deal with them. Especially if you own the pond.
